Finally got my Fortress hard top! It is a very well made, perfect fitting and easy installing top. I have the Mahindra windshield but if I had it to do over again I would purchase the Fortress windshield. Also put on my Kolpin “ski racks”. Again, really quality product. Mountain opens this Wednesday!

What is your lift and tire size?

I was hoping the tubing I need for the spacers would have been here yesterday or today so I could get your YJ kit shipped but UPS didn’t show up with it today. Maybe tomorrow is the day. Whenever I get it I’ll cut and ship it out to you same day. Can’t wait to see what you build.

Did your shocks show up?

My girlfriend bought a JL ( I may have had something to do with that decision:rolleyes:) so I went to town fixing it up for her. It isn't a Roxor but pretty damn fancy :). Did a cold air intake, 2" lift, 33" tires and fuel wheels, nerf bars, and a Borla exhaust.

Yep the shocks showed up in four separate shipments. Springs all arrived together.

I appreciate you doing what you do

Looks like fun. Any update?
Only update is that I've removed all the intake piping and installed the boost valve. While the intake is out of the way in going to play with the electric fan and get it installed. It's pretty chilly here so if I don't get it wired up 100% it'll probably be fine. I don't have a windshield so I'll freeze before it gets to operating temp.

My only day off is Sunday so it's going to be a slow process for me.

I found the intake kit to be a bit of a pain due to the machining tolerances being so extremely tight. Combine that with the lack of instructions and it probably took a little longer than it should have.

I didn't realize it but the egr delete must be totally completed for this kit. I still had my cooler sitting there disconnected; wasn't expecting to play with coolant today.

The air cleaner kit currently feels impossible. Wish me luck

Can't wait to open the box. I didn't realize at first that I could get the kit that's in this box so I bought climax lift shackles. And then bought the whole long travel kit. I guess I'll practice my welding skills on the now useless shackles.

I also bought egr block plates and then the whole intake kit from diesel freaks that comes with block plates... Once I'm finished here I want to do some information organizing to help out other new members. If any of you have helpful advice feel free to comment on my post in the members only section.

E fan wasn't present on the previous post. Just got it in, not secured yet. Had to go through bottom. Now I need to find where someone else has posted the instructions because I don't know where to go from here... I have some ideas but instructions are nice.

Diesel freaks air cleaner pipe is done, probably more trouble than it's worth. May have something to do with thermal contraction as my workshop is currently 45 degrees freedom.

Finished the shakedown run after completing the EGR delete and DF air intake connection kit. To my pleasant surprise, no leaks! That’s an accomplishment when you are not really a wrench like some of you on this forum. Also installed the Rick Cecco 42” front bumper with bull-bar and shackle mounts. My first purchase from Cecco Racing but I can tell you it won’t be the last. The quality is some of the best I think you will find so if you can’t weld yourself, worth the price. Will be ordering some under armor and rear bumper soon.

Did you have a hard time getting the silicone boot on the airbox?

I finally, after 1000 miles and 9 months of ownership, got to properly take my Roxor on an off road adventure this past weekend. While camping in my state where that activity is currently banned, and in an undisclosed location, my family and I explored the Southern California desert and put the Roxor through its paces. From sandy washes, badland canyons, rocky hill climbs , cactus filled valleys and everything else in between, the Roxor was a champ. It’s certainly different than my GC Trailhawk and not nearly as comfortable but it excels in different ways. The approach, departure and break over angles are unmatched. It’s size is perfect and it does go most places. The downsides are definitely the comfort, general noise and open diffs. I have never been in a rougher ride, even aired down, and everything makes noises that us young kids aren’t used to with our vehicles lol. The suspension squeaks and thumps and the engine roars. All of that vanishes though with the giant smile on your face and on your passenger’s. It’s so fun to take things back old school and reconnect with your surroundings.
