I finally, after 1000 miles and 9 months of ownership, got to properly take my Roxor on an off road adventure this past weekend. While camping in my state where that activity is currently banned, and in an undisclosed location, my family and I explored the Southern California desert and put the Roxor through its paces. From sandy washes, badland canyons, rocky hill climbs , cactus filled valleys and everything else in between, the Roxor was a champ. It’s certainly different than my GC Trailhawk and not nearly as comfortable but it excels in different ways. The approach, departure and break over angles are unmatched. It’s size is perfect and it does go most places. The downsides are definitely the comfort, general noise and open diffs. I have never been in a rougher ride, even aired down, and everything makes noises that us young kids aren’t used to with our vehicles lol. The suspension squeaks and thumps and the engine roars. All of that vanishes though with the giant smile on your face and on your passenger’s. It’s so fun to take things back old school and reconnect with your surroundings.

@Collin S.: Did you have to trailer the Roxor to your playground or do you have it street legal for highways in CA?

Thanks for posting pics of your trip. We need more of these.

I flat tow behind my motorhome or grand Cherokee. It’s coming with us on all our trips so there will be plenty more pics coming.

Been a while since I have posted here. Been under a tremendous amount of stress. Last month I flew up to Alaska to buy a house. Yesterday at 11:29AM my house in Arizona went on the market. My 3rd showing of the house was today at 11:00, and they made a full price offer. So I literally sold my house in less than a day! Now that my stress levels have bottomed out, I can get back on here.

I bought the Roxor KC Lightbar and installed it. With an insane amount of luck, the bolt holes that I arbitrarily made to mount my roof panels were 99% Perfect to mount the light bar mounts. So installation was a breeze. I cant believe how bright the thing is. Soon I'm going to have a 6 figure number in my bank account after the house closes, so I get to spend more money! Yay! Moving to Alaska means I will need an enclosed cab. I think I am going to try and make my own rather than spend a small fortune on one. I'd like to make the sides and rear out of Lexan so my kids can see out.

Buy as many accessories in the 48 as you can before you move. Shipping gets insane up there.

I have a 57 Chevy pickup that I will have shipped up this summer in a shipping container. I'm going to try and have it filled up with a bunch of stuff from other people as well to offset the cost

Have you tried the Chocolate Mountain Gunnery range before you get to Glamis? It was a pretty nice spot to get away. Just off the highway by the Salton Sea.
There

There’s just no reason camping is banned right now. Especially dispersed camping like we do.

Nothing exciting, just changed oil. My multi function gauge stopped displaying the rpm/hours though. Everything else works, just not the part that has the digital display. Honestly I can survive without it, I just need a hour meter and some way to get the rpm’s.
