I started my bumper install. I took a 4 inch channel and welded two plates on it to match the TJ bumper I had bought. I picked up 16 holes from the rear frame of the Roxor on the channel. Tomorrow I will clean it up and paint the adapter.

Started the series of mods / personalizations of my new 24 HD. AVM Extreme lockout hubs, new door straps and hardware, RC winch plate, and front D-Ring mounts. I am planning out installation of my Garmin Tread and XTC turn signal kit. Also have to trim my front bumper so the roller fairlead on my winch will fit.

Finished installing the new rear bumper. Had to short stroke the wrench a bit in that tight place. The weak link will be my weld or the rear frame member of the Roxor.

Locking hubs or rear locker is next on the list.

I wish I could weld. All I did was weld up an adapter for the store bought EAG bumper.

Hate to be bearer of bad news but the weak link is most likely the bumper itself. Those EAG’s are known to fail. Most find the failures when trying to use the D ring mounts for a recovery. The metal will actually tear. Just keep that in mind when actually using it.

My plan for this bumper is to tow around a small trailer. I wouldn't do a recovery from that point anyhow. I have only used recovery hooks bolted to a frame. I have seen recovery hooks on Jeeps break off.

Thanks for the tip on the possible quality issue.

I had a Bullet point, suction cup style cell phone mount. Didn't work so great on the flexing windshield. I installed a couple of their bolt on mounts with the magnet. These work very well on the washboard, dirt roads around me.

Installed the new rear wiring harness from XTC for my turn signal kit (the kit I purchased was old and had a rear harness that did not work correctly with the 24 models). Installed Intellitronix digital gauges using a Diesel Freak panel. I prefer traditional pointer style gauges but with the all digital cluster I chose to go digital. I have a love / hate relationship with building wiring harnesses - hate doing it but love the end results. Harness uses weatherpak connectors so they can be easily replaced if needed. The sharp of eye will notice 0 oil pressure at idle … the sender with this kit is too large so I will have to remote mount it when the tubing kit gets to me.

I will be finishing up painting my new Cecco Farm Bumper today.

To start with let me brag on Cecco Racing. My new "Un-Finished" Farm Bumper came in well packaged with no damage. I ordered it on a Sunday, and it arrived the following Friday. NO RUST what so ever on the bumper. Just wipe it down with solvent and paint. All the Mounting Hardware came in a Zip Lock Bag, and it came with instructions. I did need to purchase two Metric Taps to chase threads, An 8mm X 1.25 and a 12mm X 1.75, which we had at the local hardware store where I work part time. This Bumper is NOT made from recycled Beer Cans. The Instruction Sheet says it weighs 60 pounds. I was sure that it was even heavier than that. The Frame Tie's are likewise not made of Recycled Beer Cans. It is well thought out, and as Stout as it can be made. I do not have any doubts that it will hold up to anything I will do with it. I will use the Rear Bumper to Drag Brush with a Hook, attach my Fan Sprayer for my spray rig, I have a Reese Hitch Mounted Seeder, as well as a Fold Up Cargo Carrier. I will also be fabricating a joint use trailer for it as well as my Jeep Wrangler MOAB. I also have new Harbor Freight 7/8" D-Ring Shackle's with 1" Heater Hose to use as a spacer to keep them solid.

Back to the doing today part.
I got it wiped down with Thinner yesterday, and Primed it with Black Primer, and painted it with Black Matte.
Today I will shoot another coat of Black Matte on it, then top it off with Clear Coat, and let it dry.

I should get my Roxor back out of the Shop Monday. The Plan is to take the Bumper and Roxor to my local fabricator/mechanic/muffler guy, and install the Farm Bumper at his shop where we have a lift to get to the mounting hardware easier. AND Yes I will drill the Frame and install the Frame Tie In Braces.
