While I wait for parts on the roxor I’ve been planning my next full build. 1957 fc150 will get similar a treatment as the roxor build.

Still deciding how I want to go about this. Part of me wants to keep it fairly un molested but them 35s are saying something different.

Fun fact: Mahindra made “Jeep” FCs up until the 90s. I didn’t realize that until some of my Fans from India pointed it out. Pretty cool. I’d love to just plop this body over a Mahindra chassis.

Watch the auto salvage auctions. Seen some wrecked ones up for sale. Watched one sale twice in Arizona. I suspect it didn’t meet reserve first time. Can’t remember what it sold for second time but it was in the 5-6k range I think. And it was a hard front end collision with a possible bent frame from the looks of the pics. Theres a rolled one in Oklahoma City that looks to be an easy fix but it hasn’t been released for sale yet. Been that way for over 6 months now. But from what I’ve seen 5-6k is the bottom dollar on these regardless of conditions.

Next on the list is a steering upgrade. There are ways to add hydraulic assist to the stock steering set box by tapping into the box in the correct locations to act as a valve and pump fluid into a actuator. This works well on some vehicles and not so well on others. I know of 2 roxors with the stock box tapped and one person was happy with the outcome and the other was not. I figure this roxor will be racing hammers again in 2023 so it’s go big or go home.

Here is a tapped roxor box for reference.

I went with a PSC bid bore XD box for a wrangler. Adapting it looked like it was going to be easy but it always looks easy and never is.

The pitman arm came from Sam’s offroad. It is a big chunk of steel. 1 inch thick steel plate. I’ll have to cut it down and re drill it for my application.

Next to a stock roxor arm.

I had this wrangler spacer in my scrap metal bin. I pulled it out just in case I would ever need it. Glad I did. Left is wrangler. Right is roxor. Not a single dimension is similar.

The box also is quite a bit longer then the stock roxor box. I’ll try to get comparison photos tomorrow.

I stated buy shaving down the wrangler spacer to have a flat plane to work with. Im Going to attempt to make a bracket combining the wrangler spacer with a bracket that attaches to the factory roxor mounting points.
