Vinny it looks like you can post pictures. PM Me your phone number, and I will send a few Pictures of Rocky for you to post on here.

ADDED 14 October: I get the idea that you think Rocky is slightly over built. Over the years I have owned Five Jeeps, Two Land Cruisers, and Six Four Wheel Drive Pick-up Trucks. I have also owned Three Four Wheelers and Two Side By Sides. I am all over capable. We use the Side By Side every day feeding horses, fixing fence, bring in fire wood, filling feeders, etc. I now pretty much have the Roxor as capable as I can get it to take over for the Side By Side. I like Hooks and D-Shackles. We are dragging trees and limbs out of trails. I have pulled up Tower Stands with my Wrangler. Raising tower stands is handier with front tie points, so that you can see what you are doing backing up. The Farm Bumper with it's Reese Hitch lets me mount my Reese Hitch mounted Seeder, My Fan Sprayer for my 25 Gallon Spray Rig, and my fold up Carrier. At the moment I have my Drag Hook installed. Not to mention the Trailer Ball. I will be using the trailer ball shortly pulling my 12' Farm Trailer cleaning brush out of Fence Rows. I also have a Barb Wire Reel that goes in the Reese Hitch for building fence. Today I will have two lick tubs in Rocky picking up Walnuts. I still plan to install a 9500 LB Winch on the front. Rocky is not a Mall Crawler. :)

13 October 2024
I got the Frame Tie in bars installed on the Cecco Farm Bumper today.
I installed the D-Shackles on the back bumper using small rings of 1" Heater Hose for spacers. I have had the Heater Hose Spacers on my Jeep MOAB D-Shackles for years.
I installed a Hook in the Reese Hitch for pulling things from the rear.

On the Front End I installed the Cecco Front Bumper Clevis Mounts, as well as the 7/8" D-Shackles. I also installed the 1" Heater Hose Spacers on the front shackles.
NOTE: The front Bumper Bolt Holes need the threads cleaned with a 10mm 1.50 Tap.

I changed out the Smitty Built Trail Mirrors for the ones that I originally ordered for the Roxor. The Trail Mirrors keep getting knocked out of adjustment. Hoping the newer style mirrors work a little better.

I will need to call Roxor Parts Direct tomorrow. I have had the Hood Mounted Hi-Lift Jack Mount for around a month. My Roxor was in the shop approximately three weeks of that time. I planned to install the Hi-Lift Jack Mount today. That did not happen. I do not know what the Hi-Lift Mount that I got fits, but it is not a Roxor.
The mounting holes were side by side like you would need for a Jeep JK which has two bolts on the hood side of the hinge in line, however the mount was wider than the JK Hood Hinge's. I am sure that Roxor Parts Direct will get it sorted out.

Vinny Thanks for posting the Pictures.

No work on Rocky today. I did use Rocky picking up Walnuts. I have been trying to keep Walnuts picked up out of Three Yards in the neighborhood. With all the rain we had early Walnuts did well this year.

NOVEMBER 2024

ROCKY UPGRADES:

My next planned upgrade will be a Harbor Freight ZXR 12,000 Winch. The Plain Jane Steel Cable Version, with the Manual Cable Control Box.

The Harbor Freight Black Friday Sale is coming up later this month. Per the Harbor Freight Sale Flyer, the ZXR 12,000 Winch will be marked down to $249.99. I presume that is for all stores, and not just my area.
I already have the Winch Plate from Diesel Freak installed. I just need the Winch.
Harbor Freight has an "Inside Track Club". Being a member costs $30 a year, and gets you a 15% discount off the regular price. You also have access to a head start on a sale, so the chance that an item will be sold out is pretty much eliminated. I will not get a better price than the sale price, however I will get to take advantage of the sale price early before the official Black Friday Sale Date.
I should have joined sooner. I have bought D-Shackles for both ends of Rocky, Hooks for my front frame horns, and other items. I would have already paid for my membership in savings. I will probably pick up Soft Shackles, Tree Saver, and other items as time goes on.

M416 JEEP TRAILER MODIFICATIONS:
I got my Curtis Sleeve Lock 2" Trailer Connector in today. I went by Pipe Plus Monday and picked up a couple 4" X 6" X 1/4" Thick Plates to weld to each side of the Trailer Tongue as filler plates. I am not sure if I will have the Sleeve Lock Connector welded on, or bolted on. I guess I will see what the fabrication shop wants to do. I am ok with either method of attachment.

I had Rocky out doing Deer Stand Maintenance work over the weekend. Cleaning Tower Stands. Replaced Camo Netting on one Ladder Stand. Checked Ratchet Straps, etc. We added a drink holder to my brothers Tower Stand to keep his water bottle secure and down out of sight. We got his Gen 2 Super 14 Contender Pistol in 30-30AI checked out at the Range. It is ready to go. I had already checked out my Nosler M48 NCH handgun in 6.5 Creedmoor, and it is likewise ready to go. We have Deer Bratwurst Seasoning recipe's worked out. We are ready for the November Missouri Deer Season.

I made a trip to Harbor Freight in West Plains Missouri and picked up a new ZXR 12,000 pound Winch for Rocky. I had previously ordered and installed the Winch Plate from Diesel Freak. I came close to making a mistake going to West Plains. It looked like the West Plains location had not stocked up at all for the Black Friday Sale. ($249.99 Black Friday Sale Price on the ZXR12,000 Winch) It looked like I picked up the only ZXR 12,000 Winch in the store. The Rolla Store had a pile of them in the floor a couple weeks ago. I had planned on picking up probably Three Soft Shackles, they had NONE in stock.
At the price the Soft Shackles sell for, I am very tempted to make an order for a Synthetic Winch Line, and use it to build some Soft Shackles. I watched a couple of You Tube DIY's on Making Soft Shackles. I am pretty sure that I can make them. Another factor is that I am not going to use them for any HD Recovery. My plan for them will mostly be to connect 20 foot sections of 2" Pull Strap's, pulling over trees to get them to fall where I want them.
I ordered a 2 Inch X 20 Foot Pull Strap from the local hardware, it should be in tomorrow. If Impressed I will order a couple more of them. I believe that I have one already under the seat in Rocky. I have several w/Hooks. I am wanting to get away from the metal hooks except for dragging logs.

Back to the Winch. This time of year, I will need to wait for a nice day that I am off work to install it. This coming weekend is not going to be that day. I am hoping to be able to mount the winch with the Winch Plate installed so that I do not have to remove the Bumper and Hooks and the Winch Plate. I guess I will see when I start the install.

This addition was not work on the Roxor exactly. I picked up a Rifle to put in the Vertical Gun Rack I purchased from Diesel Freak, previously installed on the Rear Bulkhead between the seats.
I purchased a new Savage Axis II with an OD Green Stock, chambered in 223 Remington. For a scope I installed a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40mm with Dead Hold BDC in a set of Warne Maxima Vertical Split Rings. This rifle has a 1-9 twist, and should shoot the Hornady 60 grain V-Max Bullets very well. (Very Good Coyote Medicine) This is supposed to be an entry level rifle, but a fairly useable and accurate one. I still need to fabricate a Muzzle Cover to keep dust out of the barrel, and I need to get a Bikini Scope Cover to keep the scope clean. I have been debating on what to get for a while. I did not care for the AR Style magazine sticking out of the Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 223 Remington. I did look over a Ruger American in 22-250. That was a very close second place choice, but I had never owned a Savage Axis II, and I would have had to buy Dies and Brass for the 22-250 which was another consideration. My AR15 with M-Loc Forend does not work well with the Vertical Gun Rack, however this bolt action rifle should work fine. This will keep me busy for a while Reloading for it, Sighting it in, and working with the Dead Hold BDC to see how to utilize it in the field. This should make a nice addition to Rocky. I will now need to throw a couple Shot Sack Sandbags in Rocky to shoot over the hood. I run around on the nearly 1300 acres behind the house a lot clearing trails and taking care of stands for the Guys with the hunting lease. It is nice to have a handy rifle in the Roxor when you need it.

Nice setup Bob! I am looking at adding a Henry Mares Leg in either 45 long colt or .357 mag, or maybe a .410 Axe to my Roxor.

You are correct. I bought the Fortress Windshield and Fortress Roof from a semi-local member on this site who had installed a full Hard Cab enclosure. I bought the Roof and Windshield before I picked up the Roxor.
I later bought the Hard Cab Rear Bulkhead from Diesel Freak. It all plays together well.
NOTE: If buying new, I would not get a tip out windshield. I would get one that mounts solid.

I want to enclose it with the zippered upper half doors with the lower metal half doors. And possibly AC. I did the Hardcab pullout window/roof combo, with the Hardcab rear bulkhead. Very happy with there product for the most part

Wm435 With that many Hard Cab Parts bought, will Diesel Freak or Hard Cab sell you the Door Assemblies to complete the Cab?

On the subject of the Half Door with the Jeep Canvas Uppers. I have not ran into the YJ Jeep owners lately to check on spare Canvas Uppers to borrow to see if I can make this work out.

Hardcab confidently stated they will never sell just the doors, and you must buy the entire full cab kit if you want the doors

I ran into one of the YJ guys at the gas station today. He said that he would check on spare half door uppers. He thought that he had a spare set.

I really don't see why the 3 stars upper doors can't work. It would be compatible for your set up, I'm almost certain. We wouldn't be the first ones to make it happen. Look at the pics from a older post made by someone else.

I'm planning on buying a set to completely enclose it

I worked on mounting the Badlands ZXR 12,000 Pound winch yesterday. I need to take it back off today and work on the Roller Fairlead Alignment. With the Wench Mounting Plate flat on the frame rails, and the Bumper Lip in front of the plate. The Opening is high enough that the lower Roller will be picking up lots of load. I believe adding spacing it forward might be the solution. I will look it all back over, I might just leave it alone. I need to do more research.
