I do have a stage one tune from diesel freaks that my 2018 has had for over 5 years, besides a hard cabs cab and a heater that is the only modification mine has had since I bought it new. I do regular maintenance, and I have rarely exceeded 2k rpm’s, and the only problem I have had were the u joints on my rear drive shaft having to be replaced. It has 35k+ miles. I’m hoping, and expecting, that it will last another 10-15 years with just regular maintenance. I bought a 2023 with just a bikini top that I drive in the summer. I think they are well built. I drove jeeps for years, and these are built better for longevity than jeeps, in my opinion
you can find one in much better shape for just a little more money, after the first of the year,some places mark down any previous year ones they have to get rid of them, also there are always several nice ones for sale on here. When I bought my second one two years ago, I preferred the old body style, but none seemed to be coming up for sale, and I found a dealer trying to get rid of his 23 inventory,so I bought my other one. Plus, a judge dismissed Fiats lawsuit against mahindra a week after I bought it, so they weren’t going to become rare after that.
Thank god it was just that Fiat got their panties in a wad because the Roxor looked like a Jeep, not they had anything to do with production of the Roxor or any parts they use🤣
I'm wondering how you think 6500 miles and poor maintenance can even be correlated... 6500 miles is one oil change lol. The turbo should be basically new.
From the look of the oil and the overall condition of the rig she got little if any actual maintenance. 6500 miles Skip the break-in oil change at 300 and just run it to 6500 on original oil.…that's at least two. It would have had at least 4 if it was mine given the time period involved. I’d say the turbo has been subjected to beyond severe duty. This rig looks like it has had 10 years of hard use in its 3 years of life. Turbos do not play well with dirty oil. Under the hood looks like the Gobi desert, thick red dust covers everything.
It’s a diesel….. the oil is always gonna be black after 5 minutes of running lol. You sure it hadn’t had an oil change? Got a pic of the rig? I haven’t seen too many issues with any of these roxors. Mainly starters going bad (and having problems finding replacements, but diesel freak has them), and fuel filters are the main things.
Have a-bit of experience with diesels used to power equipment offshore, this isn’t yesterdays oil. Maybe too concerned given the lack of love given to the rig overall. Trying to decide if saving 5 grand is worth the gamble on this poor girl or getting NOS. Nobody gives me money so I am kinda weird about wasting it😉
