So far think the ride is good with the setup. The mechanic after driving was impressed with the shock setup and the ride. I have the tires around 30psi but will probably drop them down to 15 on my offroad property. Like the windshield and roof alot.

Gabe it looks like your bumper does not have the tabs. On my Wrangler Rear Bumper it has some Tabs sticking down on the bottom out side of the bumper to keep a Hi-Lift jack from sliding off the Bumper sideways when jacking it up. The front bumper does not have tabs, the Hi-Lift Jack nose goes in a 2" x 2" Cut Out in the Front Skid Plate to keep it in place when jacking.

Did you get the Cecco Shackle Brackets for your front bumper?

Have you made any decisions about the Rear Locker?

Bob R

Ok. I don't care much about the the hi lift Jack stuff. I don't have one. And currently do plan on buying. I can figure that out as needed. The tires might run almost flat around my place.
My next order from Diesel freak will have the shackles and maybe a few other things.

Gabe
I have been a Hi Lift Jack fan for a long time. The one mounted on the back of my Jeep Wrangler MOAB has been on an FJ40 and a FJ55 Land Cruiser, "Front Bumper Mount on both". It has also been in a lot of Pick-up trucks. I bought that one new from Tharp Hardware in Norwood Missouri in 1974. Before going on my MOAB I stripped it down, and repainted it. I also put a rebuild kit in it. It looks like new.

I have a second one just like it to go on the hood of Rocky. I am planning on cleaning it up and giving it a coat of OD Green Paint to match the color of Rocky. This one is new enough it does not need a rebuild kit.

So far I have been running the 235/85R16 10 Ply M&S Tires at 30 PSI. I run on Gravel Roads, Paved Roads, and two track trails. Some mud now and again after rains. So far 30 psi seems to be the right air pressure for what I do with Rocky.

I should have my Torq Locker installed in the rear axle of Rocky with in a month. Rocky should get around even better with a locker. We have had very few vehicles the last 40 years that did not have a limited slip rear axle.

I got my break in oil change by a local 4wd specialist in NOLA. 16 hours. 156 miles. Used the Diesel Freak kit which includes everything. He was very impressed with the Roxor. When I go to add the Locker I will get him to do it as he is very comfortable with this type of modification. I also got him to spray the entire under carriage of the unit with Fluid Film. This is something that I did with my previous jeep and it made clean up easier and kept everything looking great under the jeep. I got the front shackles and will be putting those on soon. Great time driving the Roxor around makes for great conversation at every stop.

I am going to move the Roxor to our Cabin for a bit. I will get some action pics to share.

Finally going to get the Green Goat dirty this weekend. Will post some action pics from our property. Going to be grading roads and various other projects as we finish up our food plots.

Going down to 12psi for the Cooper stt pro tires 235/85 16

Have a Very Good Time this weekend. I hope the weather is nice for you. We should be getting more rain starting today.
No adventures in Rocky this weekend. It is still in the shop. With luck it will be back together in another week.

Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
Those should be some pretty good tires. I have the 10 Ply S/T Max on my Wrangler. Second set :) They have been very good on the Jeep. Good Traction, Great Tread Life, and Quiet. (30 psi)

I hope your plans did not get messed up by the storm. Looked like lots of rain down South.
Our oldest is in the Tampa area, we have not heard from him so far. He may not be that impressed with the Florida Coast after this.

In one of your posts above you said your mechanic was impressed driving it. My mechanic drove mine last week, about 5 miles to his house and back to the shop. Likewise he was very impressed with mine.

Roxor did great. It was great having the diesel power. Didn't have much issue on the hilly roads. I few times I found myself struggling as to what gear I wanted. Run 3-4 in Low or 1-2 in high. This is on the steeper hilly roads. Ran tires around 12. That seemed to be pretty good. The Side by Sides can run some of the bumpy roads a bit smoother and faster. But having the ability to travel all roads is very key and what I was looking for. We were doing tons of work so not so many action pics.

I purchased my Roxor in Michigan and had my brother pick it up. With standard tires and everything he said it walked through 3 foot of snow for 100 yards with no issue.

Now I have it in Florida waiting for the snow!

Yea. They have plenty of power. It's the uneven hilly terrain especially when wet that makes it tricky on our place.

No OEM Side Steps?
Did you end up putting a slight lift on yours? I remember that you had bought one thinking that you needed it for the tires.

Bob R

Here is a few more shots. The f250 got stuck so needed the ROXOR to pull this trailer with gravel for a bit.

We have been impressed with performance of the set up this far.

Gabe that is a fairly healthy size trailer.
Are you doing any storm clean up?
Looking like another round coming later this week.

Bob R

Not doing storm clean up at them moment we have being spared so far this year. Its a bad year to say the least for others. Yes. Big dump trailer we had a few loads of gravel to fix road. My buddy f250 4 wheel drive didn't work so we moved it with the Mini Truck as they call it. Roxor has been great. Its been doing fine but it has also been dry. Not sure how those tires and lack of locker will do on our roads when wet.

I am back in the lack of locker situation. I have determined that I drive on pavement in town way to much to put up with a locker. We took the locker out, and put the factory spider gears back in.
