You keep amazing me bubba. Keep it up. Get your brother in law to drive your rig out west and that way you can work while its in route as to not be late. LOL. Get with it. Ask for help from local Roxor owners if ya need a hand. I would be there if I was close for sure. I could at least play the roll of the 5 year old kid handing dad tools! Lol.

Honestly I took the whole fender off but that was more because I have to remove the inner fender support to add my shock towers. It looks like it would be pretty easy to go at it from underneath with a angle grinder if you watch your sparks.

Steering in the right direction!
Spent some time on the Roxor yesterday. When I ditched the trail gear steering arms for the custom flat arms from Front Range i also went from no Ackerman offset to having an appropriate Ackerman angle.
“Ackermann steering geometry is a geometric arrangement of linkages in the steering of a car or other vehicle designed to solve the problem of wheels on the inside and outside of a turn needing to trace out circles of different radii. The intention of Ackermann geometry is to avoid the need for tires to slip sideways when following the path around a curve. “ -Wikipedia
With that change I had to make a new longer tie rod. I used 1.25 diameter tubing with 1/4 inch thick wall. Plenty of strength for what I need. The high steer gets the steering links way up above the axle so the steering links are only turning the wheels and not having to fend off rocks sitting low in front of the axle.
I also reamed the factory pitman arm to the taper of the FJ80 Toyota tire rod end. Normally this sucks to do, but the factory Roxor rod end is a similar diameter. Much to my surprise, it only took about 30 twists of the reamer to hone the end to the correct taper. In previous post I mentioned that I chose this tie rod end because I was concerned about reaming it to a 1 ton end because it would take away a lot of material weakening the pitman arm. The Toyota end worked perfect.
The mahindra power steering surprisingly turns the 35s with ease. I think I will run it without a hydro assist for now and see how it holds up. I may add a steering stabilizer to take some of the feedback out.

How bout an update Max? I'm just itching to see an updated pic of that beast you're building..... I just got back from vacation, decided to trailer my Roxor with me to Dodge City. Figured I'd never get anything done to it while it sits at home while I'm half way across the country. LOL

Nothing exciting yet. Working on a bunch of little things. Air bumps, wiring, finally got the drive shafts measured and ordered. A lot of waiting for small parts that I can’t make, or someone can make better then me lol.
Here is an up to date pic from a few days ago.
Drive shafts are coming from Tom Woods and will be substantially more beefy then the stockers. They turned them around in 2 days. Pretty stoked about that.
Got seats and a spare tire coming in today.
You’ll notice that the stock cage is back on, I don’t think I’ll have time to get the New cage bent up before Moab in a month. I needed the seats before I could start that project.
There is a better look at the clearance I have from the shocks at full steer lock and flex.
The air bump stops will be something like this...

Been working on the roxor almost everyday. Nothing exciting to take pictures of though.
A lot of finish welding things that were tacked. I did get a chance to build a cage tie in for my seats. The mount allows me to retain the factory boxes and also lowered the seating position about 4 inches. I had to move the seats inward some to allow space for the future roll cage door bars.
When I sat in the seat in its new location I realized that the shifter hit the seat in second so I cut the shifter and reposition it.
Once I get the passenger side fenders welded up and mounted, I’ll start on the spare tire stinger style carrier.
Less then a month till it’s got to be on a trailer headed 2000 miles west to Moab!

Lol the parking break isn’t hooked up it’ll be replaced with twin hydraulic hand brakes so I can skid steer it around rocks. Jesse Haines is working on a rear driveline disconnect that will allow me to lock the rear and burn turn using front wheel drive.
I’ve never really named any of my vehicles but I do like that name!
