I have not thought about one of those in a long time. Keep me informed how install goes.I have been considering that same mod. I am also looking to add the old school windshield washer foot pump that is non electrical.
Yessir, let me catch up around here and will post this evening. That is a very useful modification.
More details would be a good thing.
What you used, how it wired up, etc.

White - Pwr InI’ve thought about hacking into my harness and making a switch like a car. Off/parking/headlights and adding in a dimmer switch either on the floor or in a turn signal. I’ve looked at the diagrams but haven’t got the nerve up to hack that much harness yet. Don’t mind doing it but don’t particularly look forward to working under that dash. My back hurts just thinking about it. Sure be nice if there was a plug and play option in regards to a harness that would plug into the factory harness. Unfortunately I can’t even find a connector to build one myself which only leaves cutting up the factory harness to make it work.
Well I got tired of fumbling around trying to find the light switch on my 2024. Decided to go old school, just didn't want to drill a hole in floor. Might install it like that at a later date. Pretty painless process!

Here is a thread of a gentleman that did it on his 2018 that could possibly be helpful for you.Mines an 18 so the switch is different. Unsure of the wires. Probably different as well. I do have the electrical schematics. Like I said, just haven’t got motivated enough to want to dig in and hack into things yet.
