I remember you saying your rear shocks seemed a little long. I just installed a kit using 2.5 springs for Brian Brown and I agree the 33-104645 shocks are perfect for the front but are a little long for I ended up using 33-298726 shocks in the rear and they worked great. From what I understand these shocks are spec for the front of a stock height roxor. Might be worth trying out.

Where did you get the shocks? They aren't listed on Summit, Jegs or 4Wheel parts.

Already had them. Let me see if they cross over to a new number.

I’m back to working full time and haven’t had very much time. If you want one shoot me a private msg and we can get it figured out. I need to get at least 4 kits sold to run a batch. I can try to get them out by the end of the month. Mid September at the latest. This is a busy month for me.

240lbs of roxor goodness. The mail currier is going to hate delivering these.

I got my kit in, and thanks to your documentation I am able to mock up the parts. I have the following questions…
  • Could you post a photo of the rear spring mount for the front axle completed and the front spring mount for the rear axle? I would just like to see the final installation.
  • The 4 smaller sleeves fit between the factory spring mounts to prevent crushing correct?
  • And only because I wanna be sure, the front spring mount tabs for the front axle are the four that need to be removed right?
  • You don’t need to weld in any of the new spring mount brackets (they are bolted in only)?
Thanks in advance!

You’ll insert the smaller sleeves through the side of the stone spring hanger that has a 7/8 hole. Make sure you grind down the extra bit sticking out on the hanger so the new plate sits flush against the factory hanger.

No the new spring mounts don’t have to be welded but it doesn’t hurt to do it.

Front.

Make sure you grind down the block on the inner side of the stock hangers.

Sleeve to weld into the rear of the frame. The further back it is the stiffer the ride.

Weld 3/8 nut to tab, insert into frame.

Attach the frame plates

Line everything up and weld on the vehicle with the bolts snug.

I found that every roxor seems to be a little different here, that’s why I can’t pre weld these and know they will line up. It may take a little work on your part to get everything to line up.

*Notice the 3/8 bolt on the underside.

How it should look completed.

Put everything together and weight the suspension before drilling the last 1/2 holes to secure the new spring hangers.

You re use 6 of the 5/8 bolts from the factory suspension. Some people have told me their factory bolts won’t fit in the gold sleeves… another roxor tolerance issue. You can either wrap sand paper around the bolt and spin the bolt with your impact gun to knock a 1000nth off or use different 5/8 bolts.

Thanks for the replies and photos. Also, what was your compressed and extended length with the 4 inch springs? I am trying to decide if I wanna go with 4 inch or 2 inch springs.

I'll be installing Max's kit on my 2019 Roxor.
I currently have 1.5" lift shackle up front, 33" tires, muffler and cat delete, DF stage 2 tune, winch, and home made bumper. Just these things have made it a capable machine for everyday use. Looking forward to getting back into the wheeling game. I got out in 2013 when my first child was born, Now both my boys love the Roxor.

Ill document the install for you guys as well.

Shocks: I read with the 2.5 springs you use a 10" travel shock. Now I'm using 4" springs, and will try to utilize the stock shock mounts. Bilstein has 5125's in 10-11-12" travels. Max and I have spoken briefly about valving so once I have the lengths calculated, I will share.

Current plan is to run 37's on this setup. Got a deal from a buddy with used 37" Truxus MT on 15x10 allied Beadlocks.

axles will have chromo front shafts, 30 spline inners, 27 outers with lockouts. For the time being I will run a Lunchbox locker and 5.38's
Rear will be converted to OTR full float kit, 30 spline inners, 27 spline outers with the provided drive slug. Lunchbox locker and 5.38's
If I have any issues with axles, I will upgrade to 1 tons in the futures. But Realistically I think the axles will live as my last rig was a Toyota on 38's without any ill effects.

I have brake line parts here that can share once I locate all the part numbers.
Did you get those compressed and extended lengths figured out. I am thinking of running 4 inch springs as well, but not sure about the shock length.
