This allows you to put bigger u joints on the transfer case to match yokes of larger axles and have matching u joints on the drive shaft. Many bigger axles used in swaps do not have a 1310 option, so you would need to remember 2 different joint sizes when ordering repair parts.

In addition, the 1350 is a heavier joint and offers a little more operation angle.
