Looking to put a new set of tires on the roxor, I really like the old school military tires but I don’t really want to buy new wheels to. So I am looking for ideas on the tallest and skinniest tires I can put on OEM wheels and no lift? I have been looking at 235/85/16 but not sure if 31’s will fit. Also is something narrower out there that still tall?

I love my 235/85R16 for summer. They fit fine. A few folks have done them. These ones are cheap 10 ply China Roadcruza 3200 mud tire. I'm running them around 18 PSI and I still don't have full contact on the ground, I could probably run as low as 8 or 10. I put them on my stock aluminum rims and bought a set of stock steel rims ($42 each from a dealer) and put my Ko2's on them for winter. I need the stock tires for winter so my plow sits a the correct height.

I bought some buckshot murders from Amazon, only about 30.5 tall. I've not been in much mud yet but they work so far.

Will 7.00-16 NDT tires clear? Or will they rub when turning?
Those are the same height as mine and mine don't rub, but narrower and suggested rim size is 4.5-5.5 inches wide. The Roxor rim is 7".

I'm running 235/85's on my stock steel wheels and they fit with no rubbing with the sway bar connected. With a 1.5" shackle lift up front they will still rub with the sway bar disconnected. I want to stay narrow so instead of wheel spacers I'll likely go with the RC 2.5" leveling kit up front and I think it should clear that without the sway bar. Here’s a pic of mine with the shackle lift I got from Diesel Freak installed. It does make for a little bit of a floaty feeling with the shackle lift but for my needs it works fine

For anyone interested I threw on 2” wheel spacers on the stock wheels. I pulled my sway bar and had to adjust the steering stops because the caliper was hitting the shock. I have enough brake line and just barely touches the fender at full stuff if you hit something hard

and on an angle. Nothing to worry about though. Rides much smoother on trails and articulates much much better.

Just a follow up I put a couple hundred miles on trails without the sway bar and running the spacers. I rode this weekend with SxS guys on some rougher trails. Without the sway bar it rides significantly smoother over washboard bumps and slower stuff. Unfortunately in order to run this setup I had to adjust my steering stops a bunch and lost a ton of turning radius. I actually hit my caliper bolt on the shock and dented the shock and caused a leak at the banjo bolt. I tightened it up and hoping that fixes the leak. I couldn't handle the turning radius and removed the spacers and put the sway bar back on. I'll be looking into some type of lift to get it up enough I can still run the narrow tires and keeping them tucked under the wheel wells but remove the sway bar to get that better ride.
