So the cj7 windshield fits..... what about cj tube fenders?

The Roxor has the shorter fenders of the early CJ5/CJ6/M38A1 and not the CJ7 fenders. Don't know if they are a direct bolt on but they look like they are.

i303 is correct, the cj7 fenders are 5.5" too long. Looking at the picture below it appears to be immediately after the wheel well.

I am not put off by the thought of cutting and modifying as much as i am by the inner fender issue

I also noticed that the roxor has embossed reinforcements along bottom of tub, and outline of wheel wells, which willys do not.

This will require the use of a spacer to install rear tube flares/armor, but looks promising

You may be able to modify the section of the fenders that interface with the grill. The grill is different from the early grills and those fenders are made for later grills which are also slightly different than early 5s (I havea 57 and did some measuring/poking right when I got the Roxor).

If you try to use an early grill, you may have to modify the stock hood. You can use a early hood, but then you gotta figure out how to interface cleanly with the cowl (which is narrower on the Roxor).

Ideally, someone just makes high clearance fenders. Given that the stockers are decently cut from the factory, and that early 5s never really got any (to my knowledge), I'm not sure there will be a big demand for these.

So has anyone test fitted the “early” CJ5/M38A1 fenders on the roxor?
