Thanks! Just ordered 2 custom mini bucket seats that should fit perfectly in the rear of the Roxor. Also ordered Jr. dragster harnesses. Should be safer than strapping a car seat in.

Got everything all trimmed up. Plenty of room for 40s now!

Originally the plan was to weld up new fender flares but I was able to massage the aluminum armor I already had to fit over the new aluminum body skin. Save me a ton of work. Tig welding aluminum is slow tedious work for a novice like me.

I also cut up the old roll cage sleeved all of the joints and added 10 inches to it. It’s all just mocked up now while I decide if I want to re use this cage or start bending up another.

I think it looks pretty good the way it is. What says you?

I’ve got a couple hundred feet of 1.5 and 1.75 on the rack. Cage work is hands down my favorite fab work to do.

Got a little banged up at my last race. Yard sale’d it across a rock section in Kentucky. It was gnarly. Almost back to 100%.

Planning on ditching the bench seat and going to 2 custom kid size bucket seats and Jr dragster harnesses. This eliminates the need for a car seat/booster. Got some ideas for how the month them securely and allow them to recline for trail naps. Minimize the head flopping.

Today I reinforced the body and integrated the inner door sill for weather stripping to seal the rear doors. Went a little overkill with 1/8 inch plate. I didn’t do a cardboard template first like I normally would. Got it in the computer and hit print. It turned out great!

Max, what is the Part Number for that Body Extension Kit?

Looks like you are getting closer to Paint all the time. We will need some good pictures when you get it completed.
Have you driven it using the Twin Stick Conversion yet?
How did you like it? Any issues with the way you did the conversion?
I am 100% sure that I would prefer the Twin Stick so that Low Range would be a lot handier to use. In and out of Four Wheel Drive works ok, but the wife finds the shifter hard for her to get to as is. It looks to me like the Twin Stick levers would be both handier to use, as well as much more functional when going in and out of Low Range.

Keep us posted on progress.

I have mainly just been driving Rocky. I think my last modification was getting rid of the key operated doors for the under seat storage. Much handier for me to use with the Knob Conversion. I keep my Recovery Gear under the seats. Note: My recovery gear is mostly used on trees doing trail maintenance, and cleaning up around the farm. Not nearly as exciting as your rock crawling recoveries. I have a couple more things to do, however it seems like I keep doing repairs on my daily drivers to soak up the extra money to use on Rocky. One of these days I will have a Twin Stick, Heater, and Doors on Rocky.

Are you extending the existing fuel lines or replacing them fully?

I already have long lines for running to the fuel cell. I actually sunk the fuel cell in to the floor and shortened the lines.

Max if you would go into details on installing your YJ Windshield when you get ready to reinstall it. I went back through your build again from page ONE, and no details on the YJ Windshield Install are in it. You did mention building a Roll Bar Mount for the YJ Windshield install with no details at all about it. You had a picture, but it did not tell me much. Please cover the install and parts in detail if you would.
Any advice on getting the Windshield to Rollbar to Roof all sealed up would help. I have my HiLift on the Hood same location as yours, so I will not be laying the windshield down on the hood unless I do something different with the jack.

I believe that I have a donor YJ rounded up. I hope to use both the Windshield and Doors. The donor has half doors and good window frames that are use able. I will have a better handle after I get it home and start taking the YJ apart to see what it will take to make the doors work. Fingers crossed that the YJ deal does not go South.

The YJ Windshield Wipers will be a huge improvement over the single wiper on my Fortress Windshield. The Sun Visors will be a big improvement over the Rollbar Mounted ones I have now. It will be nice to get the Roxor all sealed up for Winter use.
