Looking to buy
To say I am unhappy is an understatement. I bought the shown cover from Dirt Legal and put it on the Roxor three weeks ago. The delivery was fast and the fit good.

This morning I noticed funny looking “fuzz” on it. I ran my finger across it and the top layer of the cover came off as dust. The only areas which do this is where the sun hits which is most of it. At this rate this cover will rot off by the end of the summer.

I have used great restraint in writing this not to go X rated. Needless to say I will trust hog pond water more than this company.

When I get to my computer I will contact “Dirt Legal” and report back.

After using one of these covers for some months, I am seeing some flaking/powdering like you are, but on the inside, not the outside. It looks like your cover may be put on inside out? Maybe the inside is not as light resistant as the outside?

I thought of that, tag inside, finish seams are up (out). I live in the desert and we have been having sunny 100+ days. I think UV is killing it, but 3 weeks?

I have no issues with business being business. It is good for us and good for them. That is the way our country is great. My problem is with shoddy products. Expect business to make a reasonable profit.. I also expect fair value for my money.

You missed a couple zero's, they add 200-300% and more on lots of stuff

Alternator belt: Dirt Legal $24. Roxor 8.99
Power steering belt: DL $23 Roxor 6.99
Air Filter: DL $29. Roxor $13.99
Oil Filter: DL $14 (was $28) Roxor 6.99
Front brakes: DL $81 Roxor 54.99

They say shipping is included. So is Roxor to your dealer. I'll stick with my dealer.

This is just an example.

They wanted $14.99 for the crush washer that Roxor sells for 99 cents. I pointed out that their prices were just taking advantage of unknowing Roxor owners, so the changed some and pulled some. I'll find the original supplier and buy from them.

The greenish side is inside on mine, that is where the flaking is happening. We have a lot less UV here (beautiful cloudy central PA) than you do, so that may have a lot to do with it. I have never used a car cover before, but looking at the website below seems to indicate that you would want max UV protection, and less breathability than these covers give. The listing from Dirt Legal does say that the cover is ideal for a high humidity environment.

Here is a quote from the website:

"The cover fabric must be able to keep the water out. At the same time, it needs to breath.
That’s where the Noah car cover and StormProof car covers really shine. Both of these fabrics offer premium wet weather protection.

In hot, dry, sunny climates, like the Desert Southwest, rain and snow are the last of your worries.
What you need here is a blanket of UV protection.
The cover must offer reflective properties to protect against photo degradation and keep down the heat. This is the exclusive domain of Sunbrella car covers.

Hands down…
The Sunbrella fabric blocks more UV light than any other."

I'm not familiar with any of these products or brands and can't recommend them, but they may be a place to start in the search for a different cover.
