Starter motor problems (parts replacement 10 days)

Go to an air conditioning supply house. They sell combs that are used for straightening the fins out. Much better than a screwdriver.

To be safe, just order one off amazon. I ordered one, cost about 129.00. They have the stock ones, but they are not sealed very well. The one I picked up looks pretty well made and kicks the engine over much better.
As it happened, I have read so much about this issue, I ordered it. It came and the very next day the stock one quit. Think I may order anotherone just in case. Being out in the wild and have one fail would not be good. keep a spare in the tool box wrapped in bubble wrap.

I had to replace my starter this week . I had trouble with it last year, but it started doing ok then, so had ordered one anyway and had it on the shelf. The one I just put on was around 180 off of ebay. The ad for it said it was an upgrade. It spins fast and I'm pleased .
The numbers were a little different .

Part number from amazon? Link? I’m gonna buy a spare for my 2019 model. Which mine still works fine! My battery just died from 2019. Thanks

Are the factory starters 2 hole or 3 hole mounting? And amazon 2 or 3 hole?

My manual 2018 is 3 hole for the oem and the one I ordered as well. If you enter your Roxor in the " your garage " place on amazon, it will tell you if what you 're ordering fits.

The one I picked up from Amazon is a two bolt. Stock is 3. It fit right in fine. It is a bit larger unit, not longer but heftier. The way it is made and sealed up I don't think it will go the way of the stock ones. The one doesn't have the cast shroud most starters do. Just an open face gear to punch out and engage the starter ring. First time I have seen one function like that, but works great.
If you read about it, it says will fit the Roxor, good enough for me as it does.
