Looking to buy
Hey all and hello from St George, Utah! I want back into an off-road machine now that I have been without my RZR for 2 years. This Roxor has had my attention for years, and I can’t shake the itch! I love everything about it except for issues like: ground clearance, power, small tires, back seat (I have 3 younglings), locker (rear Atleast). All things I can easily fix with a little money and my DIY mentality, and a tune. My biggest concern and only hang up is suspension. I know it’s a utilitarian machine, but I would love to build it out to ride more like a traditional side by side. Not bouncing off every little rock and rut, and more travel. How would you go about doing that with leaf springs all around? Does Deaver make leaf packs for the Roxor, and could I pair that up with some Fox shocks? (Or some similar combo)? I don’t care to go 70mph off road and sand dunes ain’t my cup of tea, but often times I could be reaching 40-50 on washborded county roads and rural 2 tracks. I’d slow down on high mountain roads, but want the articulation (useable travel) when things get nasty. The Rockies are a beast and I don’t want to buy a machine that disappoints me in performance (regardless of how cool it is)! Give me your thoughts!

Nothing will make these ride like a sxs. Two completely different suspension designs. Now you can make them vastly better but you’ll never get the same identical type of ride. Sorry but the sxs will always ride better. But you can change them to where you can keep up with the sxs on the trail. Get yourself a climax long travel suspension. I recently did mine and the only regret was not doing it sooner. Before that I had Roxor lift springs and the ride remained harsh due to the spring length and bushing design in the springs. The climax suspension is just some brackets that you weld out that allow you to run YJ Jeep springs. It’s a night and day difference in ride quality and flex. Before doing it I was using my lockers on lots of obstacles. After the install my flex was sufficient to where i didn’t need to engage the lockers as much as I did prior. Take my advice and skip the lift springs for a factory suspension and spend the money once and do the climax long travel lift.
