I wish that you lived next door so you could help get my YJ Half Doors installed. They will require some fabrication.
I need to get back on the YJ Windshield first. I had shifted gears to deer season preparations. I am ready to get back on the Windshield now.
I took your suggestion on ordering the YJ Windshield Roll Bar Flanges. They should work fine, way heavier duty than the OEM ones made from recycled beer cans. No problem welding to these at all.
My plan is to keep the front Roll Bars at stock height almost to the front to maximize head room, but instead of bending them to go to the Floor/Frame like yours do. I will kick them down to the Windshield Flanges like a YJ. I do not wheel hard at all, so this should not be a safety concern. My plan is to have a fabricator adjust the front of my existing Fortress Top to mate with the top of the YJ Windshield. The kick down to mate with the windshield should give me a good location to mount a Light Bar. Mounting the Light Bar at the top of the Windshield should keep the roof to windshield bend from looking strange. It will also lower the Light Bar height a little keeping it away from limbs better.
