A rather productive Sunday. The hard part is done… now on to the fun. Less cutting, more building!

Got on the computer and made the frame extension with the help of the plasma table and press brake. It will be boxed in but doing it this way will allow me to weld inside and out before capping it inside of the frame.

Bent. Squared up. Tacked in place. Back on its own weight.

Before I left for the beach I was able to get the frame all squared up and welded. The inner frame plates were made up and welded In. I used opposing cuts so the frame is welded with no straight lines. Hopefully this will minimize the possibility of future frame failures.

I have been trying my best to grab video clips along the way to make a YouTube video on the process. I haven’t been doing a good job of that . I get zoned in and forget to document any of the work. I’m still planning on stitching as much of the build together as I can.

I’m been in talked with On The Rocks, the best in the biz. I hoping they can fabricate me a new set of their rear fender armor in 3/16 aluminum just like my last set but this time it will incorporate the rear doors. This will minimized the body reconstruction on my end. This will also make this much easier to be replicated for any one that wants to purchase the frame extension kit from me. Now all you’ll need is a floors and the bottoms few inches of rocker which I can bend up for you. It will still be a huge project for those willing to take it on but I plan to take most of the thought out of it for you.

All just sketches for now…

I built the rear bumper/swing out myself but the table is a jk tailgate table I just self tapped into the tire carrier. Works great!

Think that table fits the Roxor tailgate? Just self tapping screws into it?

I figure I’ll document my build here.

I bought my Roxor from a dealer that was no longer going to cease being a Roxor dealer and just wanted to liquidate their current inventory. The dealer knew that I was interested in them but I certainly was not expecting the call with a price I couldn’t refuse. I impulse bought their last model in stock. A 2018 Black LE #168.

The sales guy asked where my trailer was to pick it up....I said I’m driving it home! He replied once you sign these papers you can do what ever you want. So that’s exactly what I did.

I got home and parked it with the collection. Got out my lawn chair and stared at it, wondering where I’ll go with this project. View attachment 5576

You should paint it Kelly Greene and in gold print put the name John Doe! Remove the Mahindra spindles from your axles and replace them with better quality ones and get a leveling kit for the front if you plan to keep your stock wheels

Update. The frame is al welded up and painted. Springs are hung. I removed the fuel cell and firewall to start measuring where the rear seat will mount. Body and floor will be next on the list.

I’ve been working with Dana at On The Rox fabrication to come up with the extended rear aluminum armor. In the drawing you can see where the original armor would overlay the body. On the Rox was able to add in my drawing as well and bring it down to the body line at the bottom of the Roxor to make it a very clean look. They really went above and beyond to bring my vision to life.

Please check out all of the awesome products they make for Roxors! Link; Mahindra ROXOR Parts & Accessories - On The Rox
