Hot off the truck to my dealer! Pretty darn excited to get her pulling grapes at Napa Valley Harvest. Now the boring Q: they want to sell me an extended warranty- what did you do?

I never buy extended warranty on ANYTHING and I sure wouldn't on a Roxor. You are covered for 2 years and 12,000 miles, some for 3 in certain deals. I don't even lower my deductible on my vehicle, actually on the Roxor I had it raised to $1000 deductible from $300, saved 35%. I look at all the money I save not buying anything extra and I 'self insure'. Most extra warranty isn't worth and if you try and collect, they make you jump through a bunch of hoops. Save your money.

All consumer advocates recommend AGAINST buying warranties or external insurance coverage except where you would be unable to cover the cost yourself, like automotive liability ($1M), homeowner's, or professional malpractice etc. If you can write the check to repair/replace it, then it's cheaper to NOT buy extra insurance. Remember, they're making money on you... Unless you're going to thrash it and are truly a non-typical customer.
