I picked up a YJ windshield last weekend from a part out. Got it home, took off the lexan windshield and installed the jeep windshield/frame. Yes, it bolts right up, but only after removing the forward ROPS. Not going to work, especially if you're tall.

After clamping the jeep windshield onto the OE ROPS, I took some measurements:

To mount the YJ windshield frame, and still utilize the OE ROPS, the windshield needs to be moved forward 2", and up about 2". I went to the steel yard and got a 9"x63" piece of 1/8" steel, and had it bent 90*. Hindsight, I should have had it bent to 70*, but with a new cowl seal, it should be OK.

I used the Mahindra windshield cowl plate as a template to mark and cut the curve for the cowl, and drill my holes. The holes are elongated, so I used some 1/4x3/4 steel tubing cut to 2" to make some standoffs. Bolted it all in place, and this is what I have so far.

Attached is a picture of the windshield bolted right up to the OE ROPS mounting holes.

Tonight I will weld the standoffs on, cut and bend the excess steel to wrap around and bolt into the sides where the net brackets bolt into. I also have some edge trim on the way in the mail, should be here Friday. Hoping to have this thing wrapped up by Friday evening.

Guys - I know this is an older post, but it this has been very helpful and I would like to do the same thing. I am trying to design it using CAD, but I need the bolt hole locations. I attached a picture and marked the bolts / holes I need dimensions for. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and once complete I am happy to share the cad file with the group.

What exactly are you looking for in measurements? The bolt holes are 2" higher than the existing holes.

Sorry I didn't clarify - Due to the roxor being at the ranch, I am unable to measure the Yellow holes in the picture. The holes that are threaded into the Roxor Body or cowl.

I guess I could just wait for the CJ windshield brackets to arrive. Wouldnt that be the same and line up?

As far as I know, the CJ and YJ windshield frame and hinges are the same dimensions. I'll take a tape measure to it when I get home this evening.

Thanks - I have searched everywhere, and cant find anything.

Are the bolts threaded into the Roxor Body M8 X 1.25?

I am guessing since its out 2" you got 2 1/2" Long bolts?

It's been so long I don't remember. Pull 1 out and measure it, then add 2". I got rid of the extension about a year ago when I had a new fwd cage built.
