Does anyone know what the ECU is looking for to know the EGR actuator is plugged in? Is it a resistive load?

I'd like to turn off my CEL without having to keep the valve assembly plugged in.

I have the Vivid tune and they were supposed to turn that off, they didn't and now they won't.

TIA

The CEL is on, goes off if I plug the EGR actuator back in.

Oh, well I have no idea if it is opening or closing. I have installed the EGR delete plates so when the actuator is disconnected I get a CEL.
I just want the CEL gone without having to dangle the actuator in the engine bay.

The ECU is most likely looking for a resistive load to verify that the EGR is connected but I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure.
