Lucky you! Costco here doesn’t even sell diesel at all, so I’m stuck paying regular station prices for my Roxor’s fuel.

Filled my truck on monday. Pump stopped at $125 with 3/4 of a tank. Had to put another $65 in to fill the tank. Did that 3 times last week on a road trip. Ouch.

I hope there was a decimal in that number and you didn't spend $1700!!?
Nope no mistake. Almost 17000 in diesel for our trucks. It’ll last about 2 weeks and then we’ll do it again at who knows how much. Currently our fuel surcharge is 45% of the base pay. So that’s a huge help.

I work local for a trucking company, even though I don't fork the bill I'm still way more aware of idling and if I need to run my reefer for items that aren't worth the fuel

4.95 @ a family owned cotton gin that is off the path. I have become their favorite customer. Rigging up a 125 gallon tank on my 4 wheeler trailer to get a little bulk before they are forced to go up.

I have dad's old one ton 454 chevy that will pass anything but a gas station. Thinking about changing it over to propane. It is old enough that it has a distributor and can by-pass the computer and it will still run. It will have to be a farm only vehicle with propane at 5.00 a gallon but I have 500 gallons sitting there for a back up generator that I can access.

Propane used to be the fuel of choice for many farmers/ranchers out in west Texas. Sometime in the 90’s it seemed to fall out of favor. I assume it was due to the advent of the diesel pickup coming into the market and gaining popularity
