I have a meeting tommarra with local police detective to get the VIN authenticated. The guy I bought it from had to use a title search company. They got tags and clear title. We then got it in my name here. Title comes in mail and it is missing a digit. Great! Long story short. I gotta get it verified that it ain't stolen. I'm not worried, I did a VIN search on line and it clear and never been on a total lose list.

So before loading it on a trailer tonight, I spent a few hours and made the dash back panel, drilled it on, tapped the holes and then dimple so holes in it for effect. Lol. Steam punk! Lol.

Update: Title issues resolved!!!! Did the inspection at local police station with auto theft detective. Great guy! Did his VIN number inspection and ran it on their nation wide stolen car net. No issues. So he filled out the correct forms and sent me on my way. Yeeehawww!

The build goes on. Lol.

Slow week. Decided to cook a brisket. Lol. It was really good by the way.

I took the dash pod panels by the platers that I used to use when I had a job and got the girl to run them through for me same day turn. Black anodize. I jitterbugged them with 220 so I would have a flat look. Got that all assembled, popped the gauges in it just to see what it was going to look like. Think it looks cool!

Did my final brake assy mounts. Built some 3/4 x 3/4 L angle stiffeners for opposite side of fire wall. Welded nuts to the angle for installation ease.

One pic of smoker smoke at 2am. Lol. Moses saw a burning bush, I see a smoking yaupon. Lol.

Thanks. I have seen a lot of modified cars, roll cages, gutted interiors and such but almost nobody cuts the whole damn dash out down to the fire wall and re works from there. I think many will enjoy the wow factor. Lol. I will.

I am fabricating a support now for the lower front windshield. Tie it into the firewall from the cross bar I'm adding.

Ok, lower windshield is now stout! Lol.

Gutted the doors. No more windows. Shaved about 75 lbs. Off. Repaired the cracks around the door latch screw area. Welded and then made and installed a doubler.

Got my inner aluminum door panels fit and installed. Re-pops of the 1965-66 350GT R.

Started the closeouts to cover over the gigantic gaps left by removing the side glass.

Also got the cowl closeout panel built and installed. Cut out all the grates to access down inside the cowl to clean out 55 years of crap and clean up the rust and paint.

Thinking of fabricating an old school IMSA style air dam of yester year. Sketch.

Cut open cowl to access all the 55 years if grunge and rust. Started out and layed out where I was going to cover the opening with a closeout panel. Fabricated the panel, layered out my fastener pattern. Drilled the panel and then drilled it to cowl. Drilled up the holes and added threaded inserts.

After all that I cut out all the ribs except the two main ribs. Then sucked out all the crap, sanded and painted all the cowl insides. Then attached cowl closeout. Just that took 4 damn hours!

BDRAG this is awesome! Amazing work!

Well I tell ya Max, my welding skills suck compared to you and your robot like welds. LoL.

It's a slow process. I'll work on something till done, then choose my next battle. My complete 4 link with double adjustable coil overs and the complete mustang II front end with all the tubular components and double adjustable shocks and 2" drop spindles.

I finger out everything on my own, fabricating, engineering all of it ony own, drawing on my life's work experiences, I work on it 3 or 4 days a week for 2-5 hours at a time. It's been hot! Now that it's cooling off, the suspensions spouse to be here this week or next, I will be spending more time on it I'm sure.

Once I get the suspension in I can start on the drive line. Once that's in and running I can get the front end assembled. Then do the body mods and body work. That's gonna be a big *itch. I am planning on metal flairs and side ducts. I plan on stab in acrylic windows with sliding vents for cold days or rain. No heat, no air, may get a classic dash fan! Lol.

Got my engine and power panel done and installed today. Located where my battery hold down will be and ran my 0 awg wires for it. Plan on using the roll cage as part of my negative wire circuit.

I still look in on you and your Crazy build bubba?

It sucks to have sacrificed my Roxor for this project but I will use the Mustang much more than I would the Roxor. Plus my buddy Mike moved to Texas for his wife's health and don't have an in in Colorado.

Finally got most of my suspension parts in from Rod & Custom Motorsports. The quality is fantastic at this point. My welds will look like bird *hit compared to this part. It's the new Front sub frame. NASA welds. Lol

Got the old fuel tank out of the way so when we start the rear 4 link. All the suspension came but no rear end housing yet.

So while I have the time I made a trunk recess area to drop the fuel cell down into. I had a shop bend the main body because my break isn't big enough. Used 14 ga. steel. Welded the ends on. . Trying to decide weather to cut out the area where tank drops for pickup fittings or use some stand offs shock mounts and raise it up and keep lines and fuel pump inside the trunk. Had hell getting it to drop in because of the narrow shackle brackets previous owners installed to narrow up leaf springs for their s h I t t y tub job. Look at drivers side, bolt head flat against my pan.

May run a conduit through cabin for fuel line to keep it out from under car.

Not much done in the last week. Had to deal with repairing damage on the easement road down on the property from the spring rains.

I did get 3-1/2 hours in on Thursday. Got my front body to roll cage tie in plates done. Keep body from flexing and shores up windshield uprights. And they look cool too! Lol.
