Got the Roxor back from the shop today. Went from the 5.36 to 4.10. Results are as follows with stock 29"

2225rpm is 60mph.

At 60 MPH, you WILL slow down a bit going up a 20(?) degree slope and possibly need to downshift. Feels similar to driving my old 22r Toyota. Low end torque is no issue. I'll likely still be going to 33's, I may hold off on 35's until a tune is available.

The shop quoted me 1200 for labor, ended up charging me 1500 because they had to trim down the 4.10 axle splines. The gears I bought were from ECGS. ECGS came in WAY cheaper than ontherox and about 20% cheaper than diesel freak. They sent me Yukon branded gears.

ECGS also has a military discount! This is the package I purchased with the price after military (including shipping). All in, about 2200. I didn't feel confident messing with backlash.

P.S - Factory All Weather Cab is an absolute joke past 45 mph. Wait until you're cruising 60, surprised it holds together.

What do you mean trim the splines?

The kit comes with spacers, you don’t use them in the roxor. At least with my application. But even without spacer, backlash was .002”. They had to grind a bit off so that backlash was .007”

You did very well. I was thinking 4.56 might be the sweat spot with 32" Tires. Sounds like 4.10 are working for you with 29's.

I would be very happy with 2250 RPM's at 55 MPH.

Id go 4.10 if I were you.. I still need to get 32" tires. 2200 RPM is still a little high at 55, still loud, and seems to be out of the powerband. EG, you'll slow down up hills and such but the second it gets to around 1900rpm, you're golden and can climb a hill without losing speed. I'm waiting on Wade to send me an adapter for the spare tire mount they sent (doesnt fit with the full cab on there) and then I'll be going 32 for sure. I dont think 35's would work with a stock tune though, not well at least

I have bought from East Coast Gear and recommend them. Their facility parking lot is full of 4 wheel drives. The employees are craftsmen and they change gear sets for fun. I have been considering changing to a 4.56 set from the 5.38 stock in my 2023. My Roxor indicates about 2620 rpm at 55mph with stock tires. If my math is correct, I should see these speeds at the same rpm. 5.38 gears= 55mph, 4.88 gears = 60.6mph, 4.56 gears = 64.9mph, 4.10 gears= 72.2mph and 3.73 gears= 79.3mph theoretically.

What size tires? If stock, you can’t even get to 72mph with 4.10s (with the 2.7 at least since it’s untuned). I can’t even get it past 2500rpm anymore unless I was on a down slope for a long period of time. That being said, it’s MUUUCH more drivable with 4.10s than the 5.38s were. Way quieter, way less shifting. Also, hello fellow Carolinian! If I was up near you, I’d have taken the roxor directly to ECGS. Doubt they’re much more than the shop I used. Plus the shop I used got real worried when they had to lathe down the splines

Hey DS,
I have OEM wheels and tires. I would like to occasionally run between Charlotte and Southport at 70mph. A higher ratio with hopes for a future tune would allow this comfortably.

I have oem wheels and go between Charlotte and southport all the time with 4.10s, you definitely won't be going 70 lol, you'll still be getting passed by semis for sure. BUT it's totally doable, you just kind of max out about 60. But Ive never been pulled over for going too slow and I'm up there all the time. I think with 4.10's and 33's you'd be right where you want to be with 70mph feasible. Apparently 33's may fit without modification but I plan to do 1.5" lift and the spacers that diesel freak offers next month before going 33's (MAYBE 35's). Definitely excited to get a tune at some point when they're released (I have the 2.7, idk what you have, no tunes available yet) because it definitely feels sluggish with the 4.10s a bit and surely is gonna feel even more sluggish when I put the bigger wheels.

Just off a flat road: 50 MPH = 2100 RPM, 55 MPH = 2200 RPM, 60 MPH = 2365 RPM in 5th Gear

5.38 gears, True 35-inch tires, Stage 2 Tune

This unit has 2-inch wheel spacers and the 1 1/2 - inch shackle lift.
