Got the Roxor back from the shop today. Went from the 5.36 to 4.10. Results are as follows with stock 29"
2225rpm is 60mph.
At 60 MPH, you WILL slow down a bit going up a 20(?) degree slope and possibly need to downshift. Feels similar to driving my old 22r Toyota. Low end torque is no issue. I'll likely still be going to 33's, I may hold off on 35's until a tune is available.
The shop quoted me 1200 for labor, ended up charging me 1500 because they had to trim down the 4.10 axle splines. The gears I bought were from ECGS. ECGS came in WAY cheaper than ontherox and about 20% cheaper than diesel freak. They sent me Yukon branded gears.
ECGS also has a military discount! This is the package I purchased with the price after military (including shipping). All in, about 2200. I didn't feel confident messing with backlash.
P.S - Factory All Weather Cab is an absolute joke past 45 mph. Wait until you're cruising 60, surprised it holds together.
