Upgraded alternator?

Have we found any options available? I missed out on the one from Mahindra a long time ago.

I found the Mahindra one earlier this year from a dealer that i believe lost their franchise and was clearing out their inventory. if you can find a similar situation you just might score one. I have not found an alternative one to use. You could likely adapt another alternator and then run a 12v vacuum pump for the brakes. Also diesel freaks has a roof top 12v ac for those with aftermarket cabs. It utilizes a second alternator to supply the needed amps the ac requires. I don’t believe they will sell just the bracket. But with some time you can make one. It mounts down low and hangs off the motor mount I believe. Or if you run their ac kit you will solve the alternator issue while keeping your cool.

Has anybody tried one of the ebay 120 amp alternators?

Have been selling them for a while now -Zero complaints/Issues from buyers
Both 90 Amp & 120 Amp are available - Bolt on no adjustments required

120amp GiStore alternator install completed. The alternator itself fits fine. But, the oil drain and vacuum lines do not. Here's what worked for me:

1. Remove the vacuum fitting from the stock alternator and reuse on the new one.
2. Use the existing oil drain line on new alternator and loosen it slightly. Rotate it a little bit. Trim about 1 inch off the top of the stock oil drain hose that connects to the block. You can connect them at this point pretty nicely.

The multimeter is sitting at 14.44 volts at idle. So far, so good.

Yes bought it from the GISTORE here fits good and works fine. He is also great to deal with. Those Lucas alternators are supposed to be good quality also.
