Trekmaster trailer

Other than painting the hi lift and putting it back on for looks and possibly the Jerry can holders I’m declaring this trailer done. Bearings are packed and I made some flares out of some surplus rubber coil mats we had lying around the shop. Was a simple slap them up and a self tapper with a fender washer to hold them in place. I even left them the original size and used the excess as a small mud flap of sorts. I think it came out alright and if needed they can be removed and the holes will never be seen as it had mounting blocks inside the wheel wells that I used. Tomorrow I’ll get it hooked up to the Roxor. For now here’s the finished product.

TxRoadKill, much better looking than the as bought! Let us know how the tongue height works with your Roxor!

I am in total agreement with USMC. Your trailer restoration looks very good. You Did Well. :)
I wish that my Military Jeep Trailer had a tailgate like your trailer has. Having WILLY on the tailgate would be a great touch also.
Come to think about it, I wish my Roxor had a Willy's Tailgate on it. For Farm use a drop down tailgate is much handier than a side swinging one. It is hard to set on a swinging tailgate. Much handier working on a drop down tailgate also. The swinging tail gate wanting to swing closed when on an angle is also a nuisance.
Not installing a Twin Stick Shifter from the factory, and not going with a Drop Down Tailgate are two things Mahindra did not get right on the ROXOR.

Got it almost finished up today. Still need to paint and mount the hi lift and add the hooks to the safety chains but she’s done.

Put it to work this weekend. Much easier to load and unload with that tailgate vs the M416 I had before.

Ok, TxRoadKill, do you have a side view with the trailer loaded down? It looks good so far!

I wish!

Currently in a burn ban for who knows how long. Also in a dire water situation in south Texas if you haven’t heard. Pray for rain. So I took the wood out to the road for brush collection when they come around next.

On the side view, what are the three shiny spots that look like bolt heads on the side of the under seat storage box?
Is that the Brennan's Garage Screw Jack mounted to the Passenger side C Pillar? None of the pictures showed it very well.

I agree the drop down tail gate on the trailer makes it a lot more user friendly. I have considered having a Willy's tailgate installed on my M416.

On the subjects of tail gates I cannot believe the Roxor or Wranglers have swinging tail gates. The original drop down version would be much handier if you really use your Jeep.

Your trailer looks great in use. The wood did not put much load on the trailer springs either.

Seeing your wood got me to thinking, I need to get back on clearing a valley floor up for a tower stand. I was making good progress last Spring and got rained out, then everything leafed out bringing my project to a halt. Not a huge window between nice working weather and leaves on the trees. Much less mess to deal with with no leaves.

Those are the bolts from the Cecco seat lowering bases. The Corbeau Baja RXS suspension seats now sit lower than factory seats by about 2” I think. They aren’t on his website but I contacted him and he went ahead and made me a set. Great guy to deal with and rock solid products.

Yes that’s the brennans garage jack back there. I was gonna get some better pics and video of it this weekend lifting the trailer checking out the degree of incline/decline it can handle with the ball but then I found that tree. Plans changed. Now I found someone on a Cali overland group who knows about these trailers. He says mine is the 3000 model (which I knew from the title work) and is designed for trucks and vans. Makes sense cause that axle is much wider than a jeep. I’m awaiting to find out what the difference is between that model and one for a jeep. If it’s just axle width I’m definitely gonna swap axles out to get the track width better inline with the Roxor. I had already been contemplating doing that or swapping wheel offsets to narrow it. He did say a high shank ball wasn’t necessary but did help off-road with this hitch so I went ahead and ordered one. When it comes in I think I’ll do some testing with it using that tauler jack. Hopefully in about a month when I get more free time I can find out just how much more incline/decline it’ll allow.
