Looking to buy
Well my Roxor was bought from H&S Power Sports in Marshal TX. I bought it approximately 2 weeks before Christmas. I got it about two weeks after Christmas and it was supposed to have Mirrors, Back Seat, Roof, Windshield, and rear OX Locker installed. It is a 3 hr drive and when I got there it only had a Back Seat thats it. I took it home and sent it to Fortress who installed a Roof and Windshield. Then straight to the 4 Wheel drive shop for Lockers. Did not take it home. Shop put in Lockers and the Owner of the shop called me to tell me the Front Wheel Bearings had no grease in them. Thanks to this site when I got it home I checked the Fluid levels. I put in 2 quarts of Gear oil in the Transfer Case. I put in 1 Quart in the Transmission. I greased all Grease Zerks except the rear axle. I did not find those. I took it on about a 20 mile trip and about half way it started Bumping. I thought there was something wrong with the Lockers. I called the 4 WD shop which was Four Play out of Whitney TX and he came to my house and picked it up. A Member on this site told me about the Zerks on the Rear Axle to grease the rear Wheel Bearings. I Greased them with a special grease. This was Sunday. Today 01/31/2022 the shop called me to tell me the Rear Passenger Wheel Bearing was out. Total miles was 71. The only Grease in it was the Grease I put in. The 4WD shop has been great but Mahindra and the Dealer dropped the ball. I want the Dealer to refund the $500 Prep fee and someone to pay the shop for putting in new Bearings. Most likely Driver side is ruined as well. I also want it documented that the Transfer Case and Transmission were not serviced in case these go out as well.

I swapped everything out to Amsoil including amsoil grease because you just don't know what and how much fluid is in there. Sorry for your issues. Just be patient they are super behind. I have Warrenty work I'm waiting on but not crucial.

I think you have every right to be upset...... but you want to hire a lawyer????

Lawyers are about as useless as a condom machine in the Vatican :) And they intensely overcharge for their services. Try small claims instead if you can.....

I agree. When you buy an expensive machine like the Roxor you would think the manufacture would be on top of their products 100%. This was a problem in the past and still is apparently. We should not have to check or add any fluid to these machines when you buy one. Luckily all the fluids were good on mine but can't say the same for others on here. Something needs to be done, that's for sure.

Hopefully, people from Roxor and MANA will see these posts and make a difference. If I worked for them, I would be on here doing T&D as well as market research for what people want.

The dealer replied to his Facebook post. They got together with the off-road shop that installed the lockers. Evidently they were Spartans or another lunchbox locker. The culprit ended up being they did not re-install the spacer when they put the axles back in. The lack of that spacer is what damaged the wheel bearings. Not sure on who is taking care of his repair bill on this but at least we now know it’s not any fault of Mahindra’s or faulty bearings, just a bad locker install.

@txroadkill : thanks for sharing. I'm not on Facebook and appreciate the update.

@Daddyflea : good luck working this out. The Roxor is fun and reliably for what it was built. You will find out sooner or later fun the little machine is.

I had the same issue with my locker at first, luckily it got fixed before there was any damage. Hope it works out for the best, I think in the end you will enjoy the little beast.

I know it’s frustrating but once you get it all the problems fixed you will love the Roxor. It’s a great little machine!

Personally, on anything new I hold off any mods for a reasonable break-in period. It’s avoids finger pointing of who’s responsible. Additionally, after break-in I do a complete fluid change out to Royal Purple or Redline- yeah it’s easy to spend $300-$400 just on lubricants, but it’s worth it.

My Son-Inlaw is a Lawyer. But for an update my Roxor is still down. At this point I have no idea when I might get it going. Now over 2 months since I bought it new.

You are correct but I ordered my Roxor with Lockers. Before I picked it up, my Machine was switched and no accessories were installed. Plenty of blame to go around. I also take the blame I should have walked away from the deal. Not sure now if I should not immediately sell it.

So you are still down for what I assume is needing that spacer and your install guy can’t find it and Mahindra can’t seem to ship a new one? Is this accurate? And bearings also, those should be easy to source. If so I’d contact folks like on the Rox or diesel freaks or torque king 4x4 to see if they have that spacer left over from installing full float kits. If that’s not the reason it’s down then what’s the problem?

It appears to me that Mahindra should really be more proactive against these issues. Units being shipped without sufficient fluids and lubricants is totally unacceptable. As far as dealers using personal that are incompetent/ under-untrained that probably is out of Mahindra hands. Bit I would think Mahindra leaning on them to make issues right would be a huge help.

If they keep this up, they're gonna end up just like jeep, fiat, Viagra or whoever they are now!

Just my opinion, good luck dude!

The Install Guy has the Spacers but the Nuts that hold the Bearings in are Special One Time Use Locking Nuts. Still don't have the Nuts. Still have not heard for sure if there are spacers in the Front End. So not sure if Front End will hold up.

My luck is terrible went fishing Friday and some Low Life stole the Converters on my Truck at the Boat Ramp.

No spacers in front diff. I have not heard that the nuts are one time use. If it was me I’d put them on and maybe use some locktite and call it good. I’m fairly certain that they can be reused as I have not heard anyone installing a locker having to buy new nuts.

Installer says they will not hold. So I trust that he is correct. Hopefully the Dealer is sending new Nuts now. Installer went every where trying to Cross them and said he could not find any that would work. Makes me feel better that the Front End does not have any. Dealer sent me a Tracking number that says the Nuts are in Marshall TX now, so maybe in a week or so they will make it to Whitny TX.

I bought my roxor used out of Ohio. It was a trade in. Does anyone have the link for Maintenance? Got 5000 miles on it with no issues yet but the stories above are giving me concern.

There is a link to a several hundred page long full repair manual on this forum. Post was from about August last year.
Search for "Repair Manual".
