Hello everyone, it's been awhile. We have made a few upgrades on the 2022. Ill get onto those on another post. For now I would like to ask about the shifter travel distance.
Does anyone know of a short throw shifter? Has anyone tried to shorten the travel distance at home? I ask because the length from 1st-2nd goes almost from the dash to the front corner of my seat. It seems excessive. There are plenty of short throw kits for manual transmissions for other cars and I think the roxor should have a kit too.. I just wanted to find or have a kit made for the NGT 520. Let me know if anyone has tried it or found a kit that works.
Thanks in advance!

The throw doesn't bother me, but the position of the factory shifter did. It was way to low and too far rearward. I pulled the upper shifter off the mechanism and recontoured the bend to make it stand more upright. Now it's about perfect.

Thanks! It's good to hear it works. I'd do that if I was confident in bending/shaping solid metal. What did you use to shape it? Was heat needed? If so, did you have to quench it in water to reharden it? Maybe I've visited pioneer land one too many times. I have a vision of cruising down the road and then SNAP because I went to far with a bend. It is weird how they figured that angle and twist should be the best for the driver.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked in a vise and heated the bend with a torch until it was hot enough that it was just starting to glow. I bent it with a pair of channel locks to where I thought I wanted it and it was perfect. At low temps, you don't have to worry about steel annealing.
