There is an older thread with the solution you are looking for.Has anyone bypassed the seatbelt override? Without putting the belt behind the seat that is.
If it is easily accessible. Here's my MacGyver solution. I removed the cup holder panel to disconnect the seat belt sensor, then cut a paper clip in half (so it's shaped like an elongated "U") and shoved it in the two wire connects to bridge them permanently. Cost: 1 cent. Time: however long to find my 10mm socket. Fully reversible.
I opened the seatbelt assembly and taped the little switch down and re-assembled it. Working great 2 years later.Inline wire connectors and splice the wires together under the plastic console. Easy fix.
