We are FINALLY in the final stages of designing a rear PTO output for the transfer case. Hoping to have something by end of month but might be pushing past that a bit with the finite details. We are currently fitting a prototype housing, then will move on to the output shaft.

Won't get too far into specifics yet but I will say this is a "finish to suit your needs" kit. Some fab will be required on your part for shifting, and this is designed where you will need to either mount a hydraulic pump to the round cross member over rear axle, or mount a carrier bearing for a direct shaft out the rear. If it was mine, I'd do the hydraulic pump and use a power pack for bumper mounted PTO shaft so there was still other hydraulic control options.

Due to weight and ground clearance, I have designed this to NOT direct-mount a pump to the PTO.

We are also hoping to include a digital RPM indicator. Shifting could be done by cable, or we have factory transfer case shift parts to start as a base for rod-shifted applications. Engine RPM would currently need to be done by cable or a steady foot, however another project has opened the doors for a possible future electronic control.

As power is transmitted through the transmission, output RPM (and direction) will vary depending on gear selection. You would be responsible for gathering correct driven implement operation RPM vs desired ground speed vs PTO output RPM. I am only supplying the main apparatus to make an accessory drive possible.

Not everyone will see this right away but I would like to get a rough count on who is interested. I anticipate a rough cost to be around $1500 +/- USD, and will make a install video for correct setup. All custom parts are Made in USA, and we will stock service and replacement parts. Note that even though the price would be significantly lower, I do not desire to offshore production of custom parts.

I welcome any suggestions or input you folks may have on this.

Not interested in a PTO but might be interested in the electric throttle control. Especially if it can be used as a cruise control at any speed and possibly be used to lower rpms as well as raise them. Be nice to lower them for rock crawling but still be able to idle at 850 or slightly higher while idling around the pasture doing chores. the higher rpm would help with oil pressure as well as increased alternator output. Be handy for winching as well. So there’s a secondary market for that aside from the PTO.

I might be able to come up with something, this would not increase or decrease throttle position signal under load like cruise control but rather be similar to what I've seen in a TJ as an alternate adjustable throttle input.

I am already designing connections/harnesses involving throttle signals for another super secret project, so adding a secondary input could be plug and play...

We will add this to the list!

How about a 120v generator run by PTO?
Hey Tom- anything you can think of could be powered! you would just need to match the equipment. There are hydraulic generators out there that would be easy to hook up when needed, you would just need to match up pump input speed vs required generator flow rates.

Alternatively you could hook a 2 piece PTO shaft out to the rear bumper for a mechanical drive generator, but then you have the dangers of rotating equipment.

What is the RPM of the PTO output? 1:1 to the engine ? Or is it stepped down?

I have been waiting and please put my name down as truly interested. I hope everyone inclined towards having a PTO capability will step up now and also list all the things THEY might use this added capability. I will go first. I would like two capabilities, drive a generator and power a front mounted snow plow.

Thanks again King RxF.
