Decided to put silicone isolators on the upper radiator support brackets. The factory just has really smaller washers on the rods running from the firewall to the somewhat flimsy brackets. Used larger stainless washers to back the isolators. The radiator side isolator had to be trimmed via the bench grinder to make it fit courtesy the additional bracket for the hood support rod.

The isolators are glad hand seals used on tractor trailer air lines. The center holes were a little oversized and were shimmed with 3/8" fuel line hose.

The firewall end of the rods were fitted with a zinc coated washers on the bottom of the bracket and a larger washer on the top side.

The zinc color matched the intake tube and the red isolators went with the oil pan skid plate as well as other red items in the engine bay.

The entire job too less than a half hour and total parts was about eleven bucks.

Would like to isolate the radiator with rubber in the future. Should help it last and modern vehicles are fitted in this manner.
