I bought a Roxor on an auction. It was in an accident and looks like it rolled on its side. I got it home and it started right up. I drove it on my dead end street a couple of times and seemed to run fine. Other son got home so I was going to take him on the same ride but it wouldn't rev once you took off. I could rev it the once it got moving there was no throttle response. I could put it to the floor but it would not rev up at all. Maybe limp mode? I noticed it has the cat or muffler removed, egr plated, a KMF stage 3 computer. It's a 2018 with 3000 miles. I don't know the previous owner but I wish I did. I bought it in the Saint louis area if anyone knows someone that might have owned this little jewel. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

As silly as it sounds did you have the seat belt buckled? It is governed at around 5 mph if not buckled. Numerous others that bought second hand with no dealer instructions have made that mistake, hope that’s all it is for you.

Always wear my seat belt but I Probably wasn't this time. I was going really slow so I probably didn't put it on. I bet you are right.

There’s a way to bypass the seatbelt limiter if you ever want to.

C

Cut the wires leading up to the seat belt and twist them together.
I modified an inline splice connector and used that. Or you could also unplug the harness and jam a jumper wire or make a jumper with the proper connectors on it.

I just purchased a 2019 Roxor and it worked fine for the first week. Only 7000 km on the machine. Changed the oil and air filter. Yesterday on a short run it went into limp mode and the speedometer stopped functioning but all other functions or displays worked. It appears the previous owner had replaced the speed sensor already as well as a bearing and some seals. There is no dealer located within 750 km here. any suggestions?

Did you have your seatbelt on?
Yes I Did. This happened whenI was on a rough trail andin4L , Once I was on the better trail I stopped, put it in 2 w and noticed right away that it wasn't powering as it should. I tried shifting back to 4H and same thing ,then noticed the speedometer was not working. I've since disconnected the battery for 1 minute then trying it again . i suspect the speed sensor but as I said the previous owner had replaced it already.

I got under today and yes the speed sensor was broken . I'll try to post pictures. it was cracked and when I took it off the needle part stayed in the housing but easily removed it with a magnet . The previous owner had manufactured a great protective cover for it that bolts to the frame and was easy to remove. I had the old speed sensor and tried it out but still in limp mode . I've disconnected the battery and waiting to see if that may clear the codes. The old sensor was registering 1488 ohms.

I reconnected the battery and it seems a bit better but i guess that old sensor still needs to be replaced.

Without knowing Diagnostic Codes, you can check for these items.

1) Ensure continuity between seat belt switch pin A and pin 43 of EMS ECU connector.
2) Ensure air filter element is clean & replaced as per schedule.
3) Ensure turbocharger waste gate is not stuck open.
4) Ensure air filter element is clean & replaced as per schedule.
5) Ensure no leakages in air intake system.
6) Ensure cylinder compression values are as per specification.
7) Check for proper disengagement of parking brake.
8) Check for brake binding.
9) Check for proper disengagement of parking brake.
10) Check if EGR valve is stuck open.
11) Check the spark arrester for any blockages.

Come to think of it, someone on this site had a similar issue and found that, I believe, it was his right rear brake pad not releasing.
