Max’s Roxor Build

Playing around with the new 3d scanner on the new rear axle. Being able to scan things into the computer and work with it in CAD has been an absolute game changer!

Even printed out the scan file for fun. Some new tools to add to the arsenal.

If you haven't caught on by now.... the plan is to do rear steer.

The Highflow PSC steering pump should be able to keep up but i am worried about the speed at idle. I am going to use a log splitter style valve with a Power Beyond valve. here is the way the power beyond is explained by Radial Dynamics:

" Power Beyond allows rear steer to receive hydraulic priority and operate at full pressure without being affected by front steer operation in single-pump front and rear steering applications. All flow not actively being consumed by rear steer passes through the Power Beyond port to be used by front steering or other hydraulic functions at full pressure but note that 100% actuation of the rear steer valve with Power Beyond arrangement will choke off flow to front steer."

I may be the only person to ever try this with hydraulic assist up front and full hydro rear. It will be an experiment. in theory it should work great! If the pump doesn't move enough fluid i may try swapping to a Scotts Offroad pump like a lot of the rock bouncer guys use for high speed rear steer.

Thats awesome, you should scan the roxor and sell mini 1/18 scales

The new axle is in. I came up with some u bolt elimination perches that will just use 5/8 fine thread bolts rather then Ubolts. Next I needed to figure out shock and bump stop mounts. The shock mount landed in the same area as the perches so i took the time to up with an integrated shock mount on the perch. everything lined up perfect and looks like i know what the heck doing.

Plenty of clearance for the full lock to lock steering! About 40* each way. I still plan to limit that a little, Flex testing is needed to know exactly how much. To limit it i will turn some limiting spacers and stick them inside the hydraulic ram like what was done in the front assist cylinder.

Was super stoked to find a KC gravity Light bar on market place for a absolute steal!!! Got it mounted with some custom brackets and riv nuts into the windshield frame, this allows me to remove the lightbar when I remove the windshield on those rowdy wheeling days with inevitable rollovers.

Check these things out! Simpletire.com hooked me up with a set of tires I've had my eye on. GBC Rockinator 37/10r15 in a sticky compound! It is a UTV tire so we will see how it holds up!

They look gnarly!
