I live in SC. I low keyed an inquiry. At the DMV. The answer was they could not issue a plate as long as the MSO stated Not for Highway Use. I didn’t press it as a couple of people are working different angles. Kit cars, etc. Will advise on progress.
I did get a golf car permit which will allow me to operate it on the road within 4 miles of two stated address. I used my residence and a friends house. They barley overlap which allows me to drive it to town and the farms where I hunt and generally ride around
