Hello To The Roxor Group,
I purchased my Roxor in Michigan and licensed it for the road in Michigan. I am located permanently in Florida and had to register my Florida business in Michigan to be able to do this.
Anyway, I finally got my Roxor registered, titled, and licensed in Florida. The issue for Florida was getting Personal Injury Protection Insurance (PIP) for the Roxor. The State of Florida DMV worked with me quite well during the process.
Now, the only insurance company I have found who would insure the vehicle was Geico. I have had them for years on other vehicles. Now, I found out that Geico's software changes the letter I to a 1 in the VIN Code. When Michigan registered the vehicle as an assembled vehicle they gave it a VIN Number starting with MI. Geico changes the I to a 1 and the State of Florida does not like that.
Now, trying to get Geico to fix the issue, they are telling me that they will probably drop my insurance because they cannot make the I in the MI into an I on my VIN information on their end. I will be calling them back again for the third time. Geico told me that that is what their software does with an I in the VIN.
I will keep you informed.
Florida DMV told me, It has four wheels, it looks like a Jeep, We are recording it as a Utility Vehicle with a Jeep Body, not a motorcycle as the Manufacturers VIN suggests.
