Where can I purchase ac replacement parts for my 20222 Roxor.
My Roxor came with Ac and heat all weather cab.
I called vintage air not helpful. Diesel Freak has the complete ac package.
Hard cabs referred me back to vintage air.

What part do you need? Vintage Air was the original provider for those units.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that Summit Racing has quite a few parts for those Vintage Air units.

It has a full charge but blowing cool not cold.
replace condenser, dryer, compressor.
Replace o rings if needed.
Flush system and pull vacuum on it.
Fill with Freon. Summers in East Texas are brutal.

Greg,

The first item I would check, is to ensure the factory did not leave the plugs on the Evaporator lines. This was a common issue on the factory installed AC units. It was the first item I had my dealer check when I ordered my Roxor.

I would also check the thermal expansion valve. If you have the factory kit, the valve is on the right end of the unit. It may be hidden by the sealant.

I have looked at Summit racing as you suggested.
How do you match the identical replacement part.
I'm use to part numbers.

I'm looking at the summit website.
Are you able to tell me which is the correct replacement for AC compressor.

Greg,

I have the parts listing for the Vintage Air system. I will dig it up and post it.

This is the Parts List for the Vintage Air Slimline AC. I thought I had a drawing Breakdown also; I will look for that.

I will need to add a link for the Vintage Air AC Manual with pictures and part numbers. It is a large manual.

Thank you Summit Racing has all the Vintage Air parts.
I purchased Compressor, dryer and switch, O-rings, thermal expansion valve.
I had a professional AC guy install them fowling installation directions and charging system.
We replaced O- rings and flushed the system, assembled the new system and pulled a vacuum.
The day it was worked on the temp outside was 85 in East Texas. Temp in the vents was 32-36.
Temps outside are higher and more humidity. Temp coming out of the middle vent is 60 driving down the road.
Idling the temp goes down to 45. Just not cooling the cab down. When I purchased the Roxon in 20203 is was very cold AC.
Is it possible the mechanical valve for the heater is letting in hot coolant. The valve opens and closes with the inside dash knob.
I love my Roxor but in East Texas your AC unit has to work efficiently .

Reasons why AC does not cool like when the vehicle was new.
  • Low refrigerant levels
  • Refrigerant contamination
  • Clogged or dirty evaporator and condenser coils
  • Faulty compressor
  • Electrical issues
  • Blocked or restricted airflow
  • Expansion valve malfunction
  • Leaky ducts
  • Compressor failure or clutch problems
  • Faulty blower motor or fan
  • Malfunctioning thermostat or temperature sensor
  • Blend door or actuator problems
  • Condenser or evaporator issues
Since it cooled more when the vehicle was new, I would ensure that the condenser is clean. My work van was not cooling like it did previously and all it was, was that the compressor clutch needed to be adjusted. A defective Binary switch controls the compressor and if that is not working properly it could cause the issue.

You can test your idea for the heater valve by just putting in a $ 2 - $5 heater bypass hose.
