30 spline axle conversion

This may seem ridiculous, but was wondering if you could avoid changing the carrier, ring and pinion by installing a 30 spline lunchbox locker in the stock carrier? If it worked, it would be a much simpler and cost effective way to make the swap.

They don’t change. You’ll need a new carrier and by the time you buy the Open carrier and lunchbox your better off just getting the locker carrier.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was afraid of. Really don't want to fool with all of that.
