I just wanted to share some pictures of the new 2.7 liter diesel motor. Still not much info out there on them, if you would like to see anything specific I can do that, just let me know.

Is your coolant also purple? My 23 has purple coolant and I can’t find what the heck it is.

D3306 is the Mahindra spec in the 2022 operators guide. The 2023 only say lo/ no silicate 50/50

Hmm.. at first I wondered if that engine is the same 2.7L that is in my 1640 tractor, but my tractor motor looks basically identical to the 2.5L in my Roxor. It could be trimming differences and a very different valve cover.

Anyone got ideas here? Is this a real new new MM motor or does it share the same core as the 1640 engine?

I have a 2.7l in my 5555. Totally different animal. 4 cylinders as opposed to 3 cylinders. Different ECU control. I can't say what the 1640 has however.

My 1640 is a 2.7L 4 cyl. Has some different trimming but looks IDENTICAL to the 2.5L in the Roxor.

In fact, I like several of the bits on the tractor better and might adapt them to the Roxor.

The Roxor is a 4 cylinder, my 5555 is a 3 cylinder 2.7l. Your 1640 could be the same engine. I made the assumption that the tractor 2.7l would be the same in different tractor models .

My 1640 is def a MM 2.7L 4 cyl. In the 1600 line, the 1635 uses the 2.0L 3 cyl MM engine.

I was once told that the 2.7L in the Roxor was the same engine as used in the Mahindra 5155 tractor, and at one point I was able to get the bore x stroke dimensions from the tractor engine and they were the same as those published in the 2023HD Roxor Brochure. Both engines even use the same oil filter. That is how I ordered my first black oil filter for the 2.7L Roxor in the early days when the power sports dealers could not get them or did not know they were different in the 2.7L. I seem to recall that the tractor did not have a turbocharger, but I am not sure and cannot find the specs that I had once looked at.

Yeah bore and strokes are identical between the 2.7L Roxor, the 2.7L in my 1640, and it looks like in the 5155:

89x110mm

My 1640 is not turbo charged, however. I can def see how using an engine already heavily in use in the US in tractors makes a mountain of sense in the Roxor.

My 2.7l in my 5555 seems to be the odd ball being a 3 cylinder. I just need to keep quiet as not to confuse anyone.

That's a mess with all that EGR stuff on there. Does that engine not have a grid heater (cold weather starting aid)? On the 2.5L it caused lots of annoyances with boost leaks but did help greatly on cold days.

I believe this is the heater element.

Just confrimed the cyl head assembly part on my tractor 2.7 (Mahindra 1640 tractor) and the Roxor 2.7 are the same Mahindra part#. I've been looking at the various bits and while they ARE different engines, and are trimed out differently, they are obvious siblings.
