Is anyone running a wix or napa oil filter? If so what number? Is it doing well? The reason I ask is that I am running the mahindra 006016642v91 and I think the anti drain back valves are bad. Thanks for your time.

The NAPA Gold Part Number is 1324.
I am pretty sure it will meet or exceed OEM on quality.
I just changed the oil on my 2024 today. I used 7 Quarts of 5W40 Rotella T6 Oil.
NOTE: They recommend changing the Copper Oil Pan Drain Plug washer every oil change. Pick up a couple, and tape them to your Oil Filter Box.

Bob R1 thanks for the reply. Mine is a 2024 also and have noticed on start up the next it take a few seconds for the oil pressure light to go out, like it has to fill the filter again an when i changed the oil at the 10 hour breakin I didn't start it I just dropped the oil and took off the filter the next day and the filter had no oil in it.

My filter did have some oil in it when doing the oil change. The Oil Light stays lit on cold start on mine some times. Possibly worse if it has set a few days. Monsoon Season in the Ozarks has not let me drive as much as I would like. The last couple months Big Creek has been flooded most of the time. That messes with me driving Rocky to work.
I am not 100% sure which oil filter is best to use on the 2.7. Mahindra has the Red and Black Filters. Then we have the Napa Gold Filter. I have never read anything stating which Filter is the best to use.

Dohat, When I first changed my oil on the 300-mile break in, I thought the same thing. My filter still looked new and no oil. I believe those filters do not have anti-drain back valves. I could not find any specifications on the oil filter.

After checking my filter there was slight oil in it. It is just that I let the Roxor sit a few days, and the oil all drained out. I thought at first my oil galley was plugged but on the new oil change I checked it out sure enough the filter was filling up.

Definitely do what Bob says and get new drain plug washers. My original washer would not reseal. I bought a bag of washers on Amazon.

If it's the same filter as 2018-2020. I use EAO64. It's a amsoil oil filter and it's bigger than the stock size also it's a 20 micron filter. Exceeds all others in quality and filtration

Thanks for all the replies
I have the black mahindra filter on it as it calls for. When it sits overnight, or a couple of days, the oil light takes a few seconds to go out and I hear a very slight what sounds like a lifter tap, then it goes away when the light goes out. I did order some copper washers also for the drain plug.

I have never replaced my washer. It doesn't leak
