My Roxor came with a Warn M8000 winch. It's a really nice winch and I want to protect it as much as is reasonably possible. I have seen that Warn makes a cover, but the reviews on it are pretty bad. Apparently most people don't get at most a year out of them, many get less.

Do you guys cover your winches? Or, do you not worry about it? Or, is there some other aftermarket winch cover that fits and works better?

I put this one on mine just to keep the sun off it. Came with a pair of gloves to.

Warn 91414 Neoprene Winch Cover Fits M8000/XD9000/9.5xp/VR8000VR8000-S Winches | eBay
This is the one I bought. I was 'warned' (pun intended) the with release handle can wear through the cover, so I made a little foam condom for the handle, so far so good. I think it might at highway speeds and wind. Probably nothing to really worry about for me.

If the cheap one fits nice, I would probably go with it. lol. I wasn't sure how they would fit so I bought the Warn, but if the one above fits ok, I'd go with it. I just wanted to keep the crap and moisture off it.

In a dry climate a winch cover might be the thing to have. What I have noticed in the north west dampness is that anything covered draws dampness and does not dry out well with covers on without ventilation. It creeps into the winch in time.

I live in Utah, the second driest state in the Union. Moisture here is rarely a problem. We have two seasons, dust and mud.
