Why is there so little activity?

It seems that the original style Roxor (2.5 L/ Jeep style grill) had a big following and lots of posts on here. Now there might only be 2 or 3 posts per day. Is there nothing new to share on the 2.7 L Roxor, is everyone burned out, or have they moved on to other hobbies? Even the vendors seem to have fewer options on the newer units.

I have been wondering the same thing. Lots of the old timers from 2018-2020 have not been seen on here in years. It is a shame, we have lost lots of knowledge from the original Roxor owners who no longer show up on the site.

Max practically does not post any more. He was a great source of knowledge.

I made a post a while back on the Sunklands Conservation area. 40,804 acres of wilderness with trails everywhere, along with hundreds of miles of gravel roads in the areas around it. Free Camping in the Conservation area "at least for now". Close enough to Flat Nasty off road park to drive to it. Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort if you do not want to rough it camping out. Not a single response to my post.

I would have figured that I would have needed to mow a large camp site and put down tick granules for a Roxor Recon week end camp out and Site Visit by now. Or at least be in the planning stage for cooler weather four wheeling and camping.

Between China Flue and the Stallantis Law Suit shutting down sales, we have lost a lot of folks who used to post a lot on here.

Why did you choose the Kaiser Willys twin stick vs the Diesel Freak twin stick?

Leonards USMC bought the Kaiser Willy Conversion Kit first before the Diesel Freak Kit hit the market.
He then bought the Diesel Freak Kit, and went ahead and installed it first. And it works well from what I understand.
USMC is now going to install the Kaiser Willy D18 Conversion back to Twin Stick Kit, along with doing a Bearing upgrade on his Transfer Case while he has everything apart. USMC will also have a report on the Kaiser Willys Adjustable Poppet set up I am sure. This kit lets you adjust the pressure on the Poppets holding the shift rods in place. This kit lets you loosen the balls so it shifts easier, or harder depending on what you need.
USMC was either the first on here or very close to it, getting the Diesel Freak Twin Stick Kit Installed.

I am looking forward to his write up on the installation of the Kaiser Willy Twin Stick Kit, as well as the adjustable poppet Kit. I have the Poppet Kit setting in front of me as I type this, just waiting for my installation of the Diesel Freak Kit.

Hopefully USMC will get a minute and fill in more details on his projects after a while.

I got mine late last year and I occasionally poke around here, but rarely post. I'm not a mud swamp guy or a rock crawler type. I just use my roxor to go to tractor supply and the grocery store on the weekends, and country cruising on gravel roads. so not much for me to post.

I’ll have similar usage. Drive in for parts, lunch, dinner, etc. Maybe to the lake. No rock or mud in my area. I’m most looking forward to adding items to the Roxor. Bigger tires, tune, bumpers, leveling kit, wheel spacers, turn signals, winch, etc.

Most were already out there. The hardest part was convincing the noobies that most everything was already answered from the CJ era, particularly how to set up the drivetrain and suspension. No need to reinvent the wheel. Hardest part was figuring out springs since they are oddball, but @Max A. got that part squared away. After that was the engine and @dieselfreak has that covered. For the trans and t case as well as diffs @Jesse Torque King 4x4 has ya covered. The only thing left to figure out is how to pay for it all and where to wheel at next. And of course a solid street legal approach for states that don’t allow it.

2 kids has changed a lot for me. That plus the shop is busy with other peoples roxors lately! last week I did have my roxor up on the rack doing some updates that where a long time coming. I'll make a few post about it soon! Maybe ill post up about some of the other roxors I've been working on for customers as well. Some cool stuff has come from it.

I don’t use Facebook but I’ll second COVID and answers are already here. I’ve shaved my head with a DE razor since 2005 but got into the shaving forums during COVID. I still shave my head with a DE razor but haven’t been on a shaving forum in a few years. Same with gun forums.

I lurked here until I had a question that wasn’t already answered. Most of my questions were answered with a quick search. If I didn’t hate Facebook so much I’d probably follow them but I truly effing despise Facebook. Now you kids get off my lawn.

Edit: One more thing, I only post when I need an answer to something specific or think I have something legitimate to add that will help others. This post is borderline for me. I’m only posting to prove I’m here and provide proof of life.
