Special edition? (Limited or launch edition)

I was just looking around on the internet and noticed something that got my attention. I know there were 300 of them made but I see some are special edition #xxx of 300 and some are launch edition #xxx of 300. Does anybody know we’re the launch edition only 1 through 10 maybe? Or were there 300 of each? Just curious was all.
