As many people have had issues with starters, including me. I was on the search for a starter available at a parts store. After seeing the aftermarket starters available from some vendors, I set out on a quest. After searching for hours I came up with a listing that looks like those aftermarket starters. I've just ordered one as my starter, after only 2500km, decided to burn out half the brushes inside.

The starter I've found is a wilson 91295151. It has some cat, new holland and teledyne applications.

When I get it, I'll report back with how it goes.

So I bought both the wilson starter above and an almost identical starter off ebay claiming to be an upgraded starter for a roxor. Upon receiving them both, the wilson starter is physically longer and interferes with the brake line retaining clip slightly, also the nose cone is slightly different. The drive gear on the wilson starter is inset into the nose cone, while the "upgraded" starter drive gear isn't covered by the nose cone. With that said, they are both the same starter in essence. They carry interchangeable part numbers. Regardless of the drive gear position, I believe both will work. I ended up returning the wilson unit just because of the length and used the other one. The wilson was a reman starter and the ebay unit was a new unit, so I think the new starters use a compact design while the reman units are probably the original design for that application.

The ebay starter is P/N 17379n. The part number can be used at your auto parts store and be cross referenced.
