Roll bar clamps

Looking for some heavy-duty 1 3/4" roll bar clamps. They need to be strong enough to hold a sprayer hose reel with 75' of hose, probably 40 lbs or so.

Any suggestions?

I have used these exact same clamps to attach a windshield and the aluminum roof I built.
On the windshield, I am using 2 clamps along the top of the frame while the bottom of the windhsiled frame is held in place by 5/16 bolts attached to the roll cage gussets.
On the roof, I am using 8 clamps to mount the roof to the roll cage.
My application is all dead weight, nicely spread out over multiple clamps.the clamps worked perfectly for my applications.

I go into this much detail because I would not use the clamps to hold a dynamic weight: in your case a 40 lbs hose reel bouncing up and down as you go across the farm.

The bolts holding the clamp halves together are 3/16 diameter or less. The clamps are made from aluminuim. The bolts threat 1/2" (or less) into the soft aluminum. The threats could strip easily with the 40 lbs bouncing around.

Look for KC Hilites tube clamps (or somerhing similar - just to give you an idea). They are made from nylon, use heavier bolts and nuts (maybe 1/4 or 5/16). I used two of them and a steel bar to mount a spare tire to the side of the roll cage.

Thanks for your thoughts, and your detailed analysis. The load would be very dynamic, and I've concluded that the clamps basically meant for lights would not be up to the job. This truck bounces around in some pretty rough pasture, as I try to spray invasive trees.

Here's how I've rigged up the truck. I have a platform across wheel wells to hold my sprayer, chemicals and gas cans for the chain saw and weed eater I carry around underneath that platform. Notice the milk crate that serves as a console, and the tailgate I built. That side-opening Jeep-like door just got in the way.

In terms of mounting the reel, I have two options. One is to mount it to the wooden platform, and the other is to fashion a bracket from steel that would attach to the two bolts on the top of the roll bar where the hose is currently hanging.

Thanks for thinking this through, this has been very helpful. By the way, this vehicle is a tool that I can't live without on the farm.

Based on the modifications you have already made (and the shop), I am sure fabing a bracket for the hose reel will be too easy.
There are 1 3/4 brackets made from steel. They are left bare so you could weld on just about anything.

Will do, and thanks for the excellent suggestions. By the way, I got this Roxor in 2019 down in Chickasha, OK, as the cheapest place around. Drove down from Kansas with a trailer to pick it up, and gradually adapted it to my needs on the farm (steps, windshield, tailgate, sprayer platform, etc). I paid ~13K for the unit, equipped with good wheels but lousy tires, lift kit and skid plate. The original tires lasted about 2 weeks in the pasture, as would be expected with 4-ply rubber. No big deal.

The long and short of it is that I'm really glad I made the plunge for this thing when I did. I don't know if they're still available, but for me and my needs this thing is indispensable and a real good value for the money. I feel i got a whole lot more for my money than one of these ATVs which appear to be much more light duty. It feels like a good move at the right time.

Hey everyone ....If you need some tie down hooks that mount on front bumper Harbor Fright has them for 4.99 they fit perfect ,no drilling.. just put some rubber in between the hook and mount so it wont rattle ......i got 2 for mine

Harbor fright sku 60323 or 96232 ....good up to 10,000 lbs $ 4.99 ....no drilling and bolts right on .... best deal out there for roxor ..beats $50.00 each........ps also ...their 6x8 green CANVAS tarp SKU 56746 works perfect for roxor roof top if you have the 4 seater square back rops. I put a piece of coax cable in the fold on the 6' side then slid it into a small c channel I attached to the front top of the windshield frame ....Used their camo bungee straps everwhere else to strap it down . $4.99 for 6 ...used two packs ....it's my 30.00 convertible top ....cant beat it ......................

Thanks for the info. I bought some painted them with bedliner so they kinda matched the front bumper. Rubber as suggested. Looks good.

This is my set up for my Roxor when using it as a spray rig. I now have a 3/16" rino lined sheet metal plate to bridge the area across the fenders in the bed to make a flat platform. I leave the flat plate across the fenders in most of the time. Works great for feed sacks and deer corn.

Thanks for the pix. Looks very good. Here's my latest arrangement. Got the chainsaw underneath the sprayer, and a hose reel for the hose. A little box on the wheel well for chainsaw gas, etc. Finally, put a little box between seats so that I can carry 3 people up front, if they're friendly. Don't know how much more I can squeeze in here, but it sure has been fun.
