The other day I was climbing up Clipper Peak in Utah near SLC, elevation appox. 9500ish. I had just topped off my fuel tank, and as I was climbing I stopped to check out the scenery and noticed my fuel tank was dripping from the filler neck. Anyone else ever have this issue? or did I just over fill it?

I filled mine really full once. Went up some incline. Had some fuel leak out the vent. Stopped leaking when I ran for a while.

Could the elevation change also affect the fuel volume density? Meaning it expanded slightly.

Yes, I think all of those had a roll in it. Im going to keep and eye on it.

Just out of curiosity, does this drip find its way anywhere remotely near the exhaust? What about these after market straight pipes? Just want to make sure you didn't discover a serious safety issue.

Yes, the exhust is tight under the fuel cap, I didnt even think about that. I'm going to research it more, good point tinfoil hat. One good thing is diesel isn't as unstable as gas is.

Here's a pic
