Does anyone have the OTR 4-seater Sport Top?

I bought one during the Black Friday sale. UPS dropped it off today. I tried to fit it up but have some questions.

The hardware kit came with two small spacers. According to the instructions online, the spacers go at the back of the top. But the instructions are for the 2-seater top and not the 4-seater. Shouldn't there be six spacers total or am I not supposed to use any spacers with the 4-seater?

Also there are a mix of long and short bolts. There doesn't necessarily seem to be any rhyme or reason for the different lengths especially without the aforementioned spacers.

Lastly, unless I'm just not seeing how it all works, the OTR folding windshield will no longer easily fold when the top is in place.

Any help is appreciated.

PS OTR is closed today. I'll call Monday for some help.

I have it. I’ll take a look tomorrow and see if I can see where the spacers are. It’s been a few years since I installed it so I’m not sure what goes where.

I found this pic on my iPad. You can see the spacers on the rear section of the top. Does this answer your questions?

Thanks!

What windshield, if any, are you running?

The OTR fixed windshield.
Is there a gap between the windshield and the sort of rolled lip at the front edge of the top?

Something seems to be off with my top. Or my Roxor. Or both.

As I understand it, the OTR top is compatible with either the fixed or folding windshield. I have the folding.

Placing the top on and getting its clamps in rough position results in probably a good two inch gap between the top edge of the top and the front roll bar cross beam. There's no way to get the windshield to lay flat and clamp into the locked and upright position against the roll bar.

Putting the windshield up and trying to put the top on results in the top hitting against the windshield hold down tabs. I could take the tabs off and then probably get everything put on but then the windshield would no longer fold. At least not easily.

Mines over the top of the frame. but a folding one will be different of course. Sounds like you’re gonna need to call OTR.

Yeah I'll give them a shout in the AM.

Looking at yours it looks like the front edge of the top, the front lip of the windshield and then the roll bar all sit pretty much flush.

They are. i did the windshield first then a few years later the top. shortly after doing the wimdshield I found out they started shipping them with some foam and OTR sent me the foam no charge for mine. The foam goes on the windshield frame and seals against the roll bar. Everything sits tight up front with no gaps and the frame is sandwiched between the top lip and the roll bar. If I’m not mistaken I think there also might be a strip of foam between the top and windshield frame.

Nope not yet. I sent some measurements this morning but haven't heard anything back yet. I assume the answer will be to "drill some new holes."

I've exchanged some messages with OTR through Instagram. He suggested I install the top without the two rearmost clamps in place. Once everything is clamped he says he can probably fabricate some spacers to fit for the cross bar above the seats.

The problem is that the two inner clamps that attach to the angled section of ROPS closest to the windshield don't allow enough movement to slide the top back enough to clear the windshield. They need to be spaced farther apart in order to move the whole assembly back another inch and a half or so.

As I think I've already said. I could take the two hold down points off the top of the windshield and then put the windshield frame underneath the front lip on the top. But I don't want to do that because I won't be able to fold the windshield afterwards.

Unfortunately after chatting with OTR, I have decided to send the top back. Whether it is design changes from 2019 or tolerance issues (maybe ROXOR buys these ROPS from several sources?) the top won't fit. Not without taking a grinder to the clamp holes near the windshield and then probably drilling new holes for the clamps above the seats. I am sure I can do the mods but I don't really want to being that the top was $1500...

Too bad. I was looking forward to this.
