Mahindra at the time of this post is at a turning point. The American operations saw the launch of Roxor and the development of Marazzo which is currently available in India.

Although buying majority shares in Pininfarina has resulted in a shift in design philosophy, and although they were already making different vehicles, what propelled Mahindra from a "jeep" maker to something else was the legendary Scorpio in 2002, which may not be so easy on the eyes, but is unstoppable at least in the minds of owners. The launch of XUV500 took this forward, and was probably their first with an eye on the West.

Today, their subsidiaries include SsangYong, Pininfarina, BSA and Peugeot motorcycles. They also have a Formula E team and have had a presence in MotoGP under Mahindra Racing. On top, Mahindra Defence produces military equipment. Although they're famous in the USA as a tractor manufacturer, most Indians are oblivious to this fact, although they do make tractors in India.

This thread is dedicated to all Mahindra products, from two wheelers to three wheelers to four wheelers to tractors to trucks to aircrafts.

Bolero Invader was an adventure variant of the Bolero (which is still in production). Invader was discontinued in 2010 in favour of the Thar.

I'd say Bolero in general was essentially an attempt to move away from the jeep design. It replaced the Armada which was quite popular as a people carrier.

Jeep moved away from jeep vehicles. Now this forum exists. Would not advise.

Interestingly this vehicle was designed in detroit or detroit had major contribution in design -testing.
It was designed by in-house studio and Pininfarina, with Detroit having major contribution in development.

Roxor was supposed to simply test waters actually. Marazzo in the US is a good possibility.

for marazzo I think 1.5 l will not be sufficient in states, esp in people mover segment. Neither marazzo engine bay looks big enough to take a mhawk engine

Yeah, they made a weird move with the patented body on frame, FWD, transverse engine. Underpowered. But maybe it'll be the most rugged taxis in American cities? Lol.
