I wanted a spare tire but didn't want to pay dealer ripoff pricing.

Instead of buying the kit, I, like many others, I purchased a tire and wheel from someone here.
However, instead of buying an aftermarket tire carrier I ordered these parts from the dealer parts counter:
part # 0018647, spare wheel support bracket
part # 2108264 HEX HD BOLT M8 X 1.25-45 package of four
part # SF0402008 WASHER SPRING L M8X14.8X2XZN51 package of four
part # SF0401012 WASHER PLAIN M8X16X1.5XZN5 package of four
part #0098783 WHEEL NUT (ordered three)
I added 3 factory oil filters and got everything for $44 plus shipping to my home. If I calculate the filters to be $6 each, I got the tire holder kit for $26...

Your efforts were not in vain. Screen shot your post and sent to my dealer. He ordered parts for me to ship direct to my home. Thank you for this!

It seems some dealers are marking up the MSRP on parts from Roxor. My dealer only charges me the MSRP. The bracket lists as $11.99 on the Roxor parts page.

Just tried buying these from my closest dealer. Told me they didn't have the parts. I gave them the part numbers and he then said it was from a company in Michigan. Probably your dealer. Anyway, waiting to hear back from them.
Thanks for the info. Like you, I didn't want to spend all the extra money for nothing.(y)

Your dealer sucks. The part numbers are from the Mahindra roxor parts catalog. So is the screenshot from Bister. He doesn’t want the sale.
FWIW I had it all shipped to me so try another dealer?

You are soooo right. I wanted to say that too. I'll get shipped from somewhere.
THANKS!

Great info - thanks a bunch

OK. Went to another dealer. This time I didn't speak to a moron.
All parts ordered with shipping $40.
THANKS MIKE!!:)(y)

Glad it worked out for you. FWIW the factory mount is made with an angle built in. You can turn it 180 degrees to mount the spare higher when you install it. I mounted it higher to clear the trailer hitch better, and no problems four hundred miles later.

Does anyone know if I can simply buy these bolts, washers, and lug nuts at my local hardware store? The are all available at Sherwood but shipping for just the hardware (not the mount) is $11.

The mount through Sherwood is $11.99 and shipping to me is $20.00+ , think I'll look around for better shipping cost.
